    They did replace a lot of x86 asm with that release according to the changelog, but there probably still is a lot of it in the source which would need to be rewritten to be able to port it, which is a huge effort. There may be other reasons as well.

    If you think about it or read their site you'll notice it's faster because it doesn't emulate the cpu, which also means it only runs on x86 cpus. Wheras the gp2x features an? arm right. So, no way.

    no that tool is supposed to work differently (it doesn't at least for me), it uses the normal pclink protocol to access the smc, so doesn't have the speed advantage of gpDrive or phoDrive, also it is a program for linux not for gp32 like phoDrive. would be indeed real nice if gpDrive or similar...
