For those of you that've taken apart your GP==RAM?

Do different chips have different performance? Youd want the best possible (obviously  ). How about stacking ram chips? You could probably get upto 256mb (same way the pocket pcs do) even tho its not needed now, but something tells me a linux port would use all the ram it could get...

For those of you that've taken apart your GP==RAM?

Hey and while on the topic of modding a gp32 I have some qs (som crazy ones): Does the cpu have a cooler on it? Im guessing if one of those small tiny ram chip coolers were put on it you could clock the gp to ~150 mhz... Hey every bit counts..

Not if GBAx.com sells modified gp's.. Could even be an upgrade service from the less handy people out there (like me :D ).

For those of you that've taken apart your GP==RAM?

The biggest sdram chips available are 64mb yes? IF this amount of memory would speed up emulation then its definetly worth a shot. Im not willing to try it until someone else tho..

I think its definetly possible since pocketpcs can be upgraded to 256mb.

    GP32 Which Language

ATM I am looking at a bunch of C++ tutorials on the net. Is there any GP32 specific code I need to learn? And if I want to code an emulator for a 16bit system later on, I would need to learn arm asm yes? Anything specific I need to know about? Probably jumping the gun here a bit, just a little...

Tell your mum that you can get all of these games for free, so you wont need to buy another console ever again :D If your parents owns a shop or something say youll work it off on weekends, worked for me ;)

Emulators with multiplayer RF support (possible?)

The problem is that very few people own gp32s, so the chances of a friend owning one aswell are pretty slim... (I persuaded 3 of my friends to buy one tho, so im a lucky one >:-)

    Quake port

Lets say u port quake over to the gp32 and get the best speed possible, how fast could it get? Guessing it would be REALLY slow (the pocketpc port runs like crap even with only a small part of the screen and they have better cpus and more ram). Could a game engine be made for the gp32 with lower...
