Pato, just about any dual axis 10k pot will work however size is going to be an issue. You can certainly desolder one from a psx or ps2 controller but you'll have to do some significant modding to the cannoo body to get it to fit. That said it will work. You just need to desolder the stock...
Just in case anybody is keeping tabs on this:
Caanoo analog input will recognize one direction from analog rotary encoder, two direction causes a short and immediate system restart. Currently seeing if I can get Mame4all to recognize and resolve left inputs on the X axis and right on the Y...
Is it possible to discharge the LCD backlight? This morning after no change other than being plugged in all night I now have backlight. Tested with full batteries and plugged into USB power both before and got nothing. 15 hours on the charge and it's up and running. If the backlight circuit...
Working on two minis, extended the cables on the caanoos to 6 inch and may have done some form of damage to one main board. Work in a clean environment and did not notice anything out of ordinary during decasing, none the less I can't seem to trouble shoot this problem correctly so could use...
I didn't notice a dedicated BST section on the forums but I may have been mistaken. Please correct/move/yell/ban as required. ;)
I am in the market for a gently used caanoo. Needs to have a good screen and battery but I can deal with wonky messed up controls. Case scratched, chipped...
That's a fun feature but unfortunately it won't work in this application. Even isolating the sensor into a spinner wheel would not produce the right forces without significant gearing underneath the hood to transfer rotational input in to lever and fulcrum type input. I'm wondering how hard it...
Hey everybody, I am working on two more micro arcades. Gauntlet and TRON. TRON made use of a spinner, a knob that would poll depending on how fast you turned it. In MAME4ALL I can map the analog input for the spinner to the analog stick (default is the shoulder buttons) but the polling is at...
Thanks for all the props guys, it is appreciated. I would not have created it without the help of this forum setting me on the right track to figure out a few key issues. I'll be posting antipated issue on two more builds in the next few days. I'll be doing a TRON and a Gauntlet. I'm just...

Thanks very much. I do not have el sick analogico I can send you, sorry. However you can purchase a replacement from digikey that will work. Just make sure it is 10k ohm. The playstation and xbox analog mechanisms should work well.
Thanks for the feedback so far, video is below. Thanks...
Greetings! I've posted here and there getting a lot of help with my Caanoo hack. I have completed the project that thought I would share here. I have more caanoo based builds coming up as well. Thanks for looking
