Finding a proper name and logo :)

i'm not convinced about using greek letters - you'd end up writing the word PYRA underneath 'cos no-one would know what it meant (apart from greeks of course) :-)

Finding a proper name and logo :)

I like the curvy one - the pixel one is fun but it's not quite right... Maybe I'm talking rubbish, I dunno, I'm going to bed Rick

Finding a proper name and logo :)

I had some time this afternoon so I made some adjustments to the "P" and the other letterforms to make them less flabby and to make the curves flow better. It's an improvement but it's not finished. I also separated the swoosh from the P in an effort to make it look less like an 'e' as that was...

Another Pandora Ripoff? [Pandora Vs Atari Portfolio]

I have a GP2X (and a Gp32x - been here a while) and yes I'll admit that emulation can be a better overall experience than the original and the fact that having all the games in one easily accessible place is cool - I still like the idea that the original hardware is out there, and the chips...

Another Pandora Ripoff? [Pandora Vs Atari Portfolio]

Sorry but even in these days of millions of polys and loads o'pixel displays I still like my TG16... I even have one of those adaptors so I can play Japanese cards on it! [ Every now and then I whip it out to show the kids what real portable gaming is :-) Ooh I fancy a quick game of bonk...

    Redundancy?

I had no idea of all the shenanigans (spelling?) going on in the background - although I've much less time to trawl forums these days... I always had a suspicion that running a business essentially over an open forum wouldn't work out too well... I did enjoy our detours into other things like...

    Lifespan Of Li Batteries

This is the famous MDI air car who after years of not going into production has been bought by TATA and still doesn't look like it's going into production... I almost went to the MDI factory 2 years ago to get more info - it would be awesome tech if it works and some of their concepts are quite...

    Lifespan Of Li Batteries

I'm glad I'm not the only voice out here banging on about how hydrogen power is a dead end for cars. I spent a long time over the last few years researching electric cars and electric car conversions and it is doable right now. Components are getting cheaper and there are alot of people around...

    Look Who Flew The Nest!

Well done on nabbing the first one... God knows where I am in the queue but at least things are moving now. Nice idea on the OS version naming, I remember buying zaxxon on a great big floppy disk (it really was floppy) for my Atari 600XL!! Obviously this was a long time ago in a galaxy far...

The Real Business Case For Openpandora

Bizarrely, I was told by my IP lawyers to avoid China and try Lithuania. Apparently costs are, low and quality is high, you can get there by car to sort out problems and the government will give state handouts to anyone generating employment and/or wealth in the locale... I started to look it up...

My guess is that those boxes are/were in china... unfortunately we would need one of those voice activated "enhance" devices that you see in all scifi films to be sure... lovely boxes though :)

Putting A Cellphone In This Thing?

I'm sorry, I'm an idiot. Yes of course it's £22,000! I was up way too late with that bottle of wine! :) PS anyone fancy an Pandora meet-up in London around September time? I have access to a hotel and was thinking about organising a full open source/Pandora Geek fest! Rick
