I wish I have had had an IBM DOS PC for gaming back in the days as there were lots of great dos games but it was too expensive and complicated to set up. I would now love to play dos games on a portable device and pyra looks ideal. I know nothing about dos games and presumably we will be getting...
Thanks for your informative replies to my post and excuse my ignorance as I have a lot to learn. My needs for the pyra are humble for its power as I want it mainly for emulation of upto and including 16bit systems and old arcade and dos games, and not really interested in newer systems after...
The processor spec is 1.5GHz, so we are advised to use it at only 1GHz? thats disappointing. I thought it would be fine out of the box up to 1.5GHz, and only overclocking it higher than that would be detrimental to the pyra.
I never had a Pandora as I cancelled my preorder but do have a GP2X which I only used once or twice years ago. I have bought a few devices since but didnt use them for various reasons, so I sold some and some are still unused. The pyra will be my first real retro emulation device of old systems .
As it is a portable and powerful gamers computer, fullspeed emulation of as many 8 and 16 bit computers as possible. I am hoping for flawless Atari ST, Amiga/A1200, SharpX68000 and solid dosbox. If this happens I will consider my money well spent.
The systems you mentioned will be supported but most are not computers except commodore 16, amiga and spectrum. :)
I need a high quality retro computer portable device to emulate computer systems, not consoles, arcades or handhelds. If I wanted to emulate megadrive I could just buy a cheap...
Thanks for the reply. Yes thats it, the keyboard makes it a full mini computer and with built-in proper gaming controls, emulation of a variety of platformers and shoot-em-ups for different computers without needing a separate controller. My only concern is that will whether there be good...
I want to go through the entire history of gaming on as many 8-bit to 16-bit computers on a powerful portable computer handheld using emulation and the pyra looks like just what the doctor ordered. I never had a pandora so am very excited by this device. I want to see how games played, compared...
I never had a Pandora. I was one of the early pre-orderers but cancelled as I decided to stick with my beloved GP2X. Just lurking on these boards and finding out that the X68000 has been emulated on Pandora has got me very excited at the prospect of full speed and flawless emulation on Pyra. If...
Still very much interested. Please continue with the support notaz. The GP2X days were so special, lot of great devs like yourself developing great emu's and a wonderful retro community. It's just hasn't been the same since even with the dingoo and new GCW Zero, but that might change if it gets...
Really nice to see you are still supporting older handhelds. Any chance of a port of that Vectrex emu to Dingoo A320?
Will you be realeasing anything for the GPH handhelds (GP2X, Wiz, Caanoo)? In particular the Temper port to Caanoo and that fullspeed Vectrex emu to both Wiz and Caanoo would...
Wiz support seems completely dead now :( It's a great little machine, better built than dingoo A320 for which the support is still going. Any devs still working on any emu's or games?
