My pet rock has passed away today, so I buried it in the garden.

And it's not even a cheap hobby. Much easier to play a game and shoot stuff virtually, which usually has a cooler sound to. But I guess taking them pills isn't cheap either, also something they do in the US more (taking pills). The Glock does come from Austria, but popular in the US.

    Absurdism corner

That Glock 26 Gen4 to me still looks like a photo-shopped Glock 17 Gen4 with the grip shortened. Looks like they did remove the logo. The US had some rules for importing small handguns, like this one (from Austria), so they added adjustable sights and a thumb rest. The adjustable sight would...

Should I get a GP32 in 2023, and what programs do you recommend for me to try on it?

We had a topic regarding the screen and BLU/BLU+ apps which could cause some strange behavior. Not sure what you are seeing, but maybe this old topic already helps: https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/threads/where-to-find-gp32-blu.57641/

    The Communication Cube

I like small laptop-like devices, especially tiny ones. The Flip2 isn't one of those, but it's fast for its small size and much cheaper. I used to have a Compaq C-Series, not much for gaming, but I liked the size. I had both monochrome (ran of AA batteries) and color screen (used batterypack)...

    The Communication Cube

You could setup a pipeline to develop code, including testing and integration all using AI. Reducing the risk of total garbage. Same checks can be run to recognize and refactor copyrighted code. But, for now I think all steps could produce garbage. The Retroid Flip2 uses the SD865 which is not...

    The Communication Cube

I clearly have higher expectations from AI, but I totally agree with the statement that AI cannot gaurantee to do a good job generating code. Code has to be exact to function properly. And AI is more doing ballpark-like work. My gain with AI is like having someone to ask questions to, but doing...

    The Communication Cube

Study: I think experienced programmers write advanced code, so they'll not always be helped by AI generating code. While inexperienced programmers might get something working without much experience. That will probably still be bad code btw. In my experience, AI has certain uses that it can do...

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

And a video comparison: That video might have convinced me it's worth getting the upgrade :p

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

No, the game runs but you can have native Switch 2 support as an upgrade. It adds better graphical quality etc. So, you now have two variants to chose from. You can also buy the native Switch 2 directly, but that one doesn't run on the Switch 1.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Switch runs both, so I would run the Switch 1 version on the Switch 2 (as the update is $10).

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

The Switch 1 version or the dedicated Switch 2 version? I have it on Switch 1 so I might not buy the Switch 2 version.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

What's not to like about nonograms and collecting cold cans? I guess I like this aesthetic, even the PS1 graphics looked okay with it. Maybe it's the color gradients I like. Did you ever play Biomenace? I played it on a monochrome screen in CGA mode as that computer I played on was very old...

    Release Streets of Rage Remake

If you know which function writes during/after execution, you might be able to disable that function. Settings wouldn't be saved thought but the game would be playable. Maybe playing with the written config could reveal what causes the crash?

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Did you ever play Soul Reaver? I had it on the Dreamcast but the disc had a scratch so I wasn't able to complete the game. I now have the remake on my SteamDeck.

Should I get a GP32 in 2023, and what programs do you recommend for me to try on it?

Did you check if the resulting video indeed is matching your requested settings? (In Windows right click the video, check properties->details: 320x240, 22Hz, 128kbps, <24fps, DivX codec) If they don't match, check VirtualDub to see if you selected DivX as codec. I think the maximum SMC size used...

Should I get a GP32 in 2023, and what programs do you recommend for me to try on it?

Virtualdub: https://www.virtualdub.org/ DivX: http://www.oldversion.com/windows/divx-4-12 Settings Resize video to 320x240 (GP32 native resolution) or 320x180 (for widescreen videos). Convert the audio to MP3 at 32-40kbps, 22,050 Hz. Use video codec to DivX 4.12 and set the bitrate to 160kbps...

Should I get a GP32 in 2023, and what programs do you recommend for me to try on it?

I think it used to be free but I don't know where to get it these days. I think I used Virtualdub in the past to convert videos to divx format. I think there is some GP32 software bundle on the internet archive but I've not tried that myself, maybe it has it.
