    Pandora Scheduled In August Right...

Most of these devices are masquerading as generic usb-serial converters. The only minor pain in getting them running is finding the magic AT commands for your specific modem. The major pain would be the extreme battery munching :(

New Led Light In Render On Openpandora.ca?

I doubt the BT would have added that much to the cost, as it's essentially 'free' with the wireless chipset. It's probably due to other factors.

    A Battery Question

On this topic, looking at the PCB, there's only 2 pins out to the battery. Does this mean there's no Coulomb counter/battery monitor chip that can be accessed on I2C or DOW? Perhaps this is build into the TWI5030, but I doubt it. LION charge level is quite hard to determine off voltage alone...

    Python And Pygame

Pygame itself is 2D, but you can use it to set up an OpenGL context and use pyOpenGL for drawing. It will (hopefully) work the same way with OpenGL-ES.

Default Powervr Sgx530 Technical Ref Manual

Not very realistic I'd say. It would fall under the realm of PowerVR's IP. The most I'd expect at the moment would be something similar to nvidia's Linux driver, which is an open-source interface that loads the real driver blob. I believe this is in the works, which means the current situation...

    Pandora Pandora Bios

Nothing special, just the normal Linux kernel, with a couple of extra configs enabled. Check out http://suspend2.net/ for an explanation of how it works.

Default Powervr Sgx530 Technical Ref Manual

Before anyone gets too carried away, there's not really anything in that document other than an overview of the engine's capabilities. There's no really fun stuff in there: QUOTE 1.4.2 SGX Register Description For more information about register descriptions, contact your TI representative...

    Pandora Pandora Bios

Only thing that comes to mind would be a simple way to choose the rootfs partition between nand and sd, not that it's very hard to edit the command line manually, but it could make things easier for some. Something else would be to detect if another key (F1?) is held during boot and have...

    Python And Pygame

I've put this in my application for a developer unit, so if it's accepted it might even be part of the standard image. The only moderately tricky thing will be OpenGL-ES support, but it's no fun if there's not a challenge right :)

Video About Omap3 & The Dsp And How Open It Is.

Excellent to see the Pandora getting some attention from TI. That new neuros looks pretty cool too :)

GP2X The Pitiful State Of The Open2x Project ..

Not sure who you're refering to here, but all of my work is on sourceforge. Can't say I know of more than one other person doing kernel stuff. I doubt GPH is that organised or even cares. Never heard of that happening. Right. More the fact that people aren't likely to use it if the official...

What Would It Take To Support Mpeg2, Specifically Dvds?

I think the current code on the 940t only supports 2 bframes. If stuff is encoded with 3 you'll get the artifacts.

    Usbnet From Linux Box Howto

Not possible. You could, however. Hook the mini-B of one to the usb host of another. Come to think of it, you could connect it to itself if you were so inclined.

    Hardcore Homebrew (hh)?

On the firmware side, Open2x is making slowish progress. Working on a media player at the moment, then back to the menu. We had most of the features of 2.0 working already, but won't be making a release until we manage to replace all of the apps with free equivalents. I guess I'll have to start...

    Usbnet From Linux Box Howto

Newer kernels (>2.6.11) aren't compatible with the module that GPH shipped. I have built an alternative for Mac users as well, who face a similar problem: http://brendan.mine.nu/gp2x/open2x/g_cdc_ether.o Rename that and put it in the same place. So far I havn't been able to come up with...

GP2X Does The New 2.0 Firmware Ease Dev At All?

Dunno about the gph firmware, but I've had my gp2x doing nfs mounts of my linux box for a while. Its quite handy to not even have to copy files to test them :)
