Basically (as far as anybody not in OP knows) either the Pandy's will be produced at a steady, stable rate... or there will be a large wait for all of those who do not have a <1000 position while the factory produces and ships the remaining cases.
I'm betting on the cases being the issue here...
But can the Pandora be used as a mass-storage device? Is the functionality there yet?
Really, I just want to stop having to worry about losing my USB key and just switch to a kick-ass gaming console :D
Well, I think that it may be possible.
I don't know if it's relevant to the platform (please don't kill me devs!), but it seems to me that the resolution a game is rendered at has an absolutely massive effect on the performance of games. Perhaps the Pandora has a better shot than you might think.
All true. However I think that you may have missed the point.
The whole advantage of OLED screens is that they look better than LCD ones. Why then would you want to switch to it when the contrast and colour are off?
If you can live without an excellent picture (like me about 90% of the time...
Oh wow. Let me clarify the statement I made earlier that derailed this thing.
I'm not particularly afraid of all of the incoming noobs themselves. I can quite happily answer questions politely. But what about swamping?
I guess the thing that I'm the most worried about is that we'll lose our...
This forum will do fine! Just expect each and every member to disappear for about a week each as the Pandy's are shipped out
... and a whole bunch of newbies who can't read stickied threads *shudder*
Yeah, but a nice cross-emulator frontend works wonders for HTPC setups and the like. It's the only way to ensure a nice, even theme throughout your computer.
I think that a multi-use frontend would be nice for the occasional boot on the Pandy... but ideally I'd like it for use as an entire GUI...
Looks like a really nice venture, even if it is a bit too web2.0-ish for my tastes. But why do you think that it needs an app? It looks like it is just a button that is placed on webpages and I would think that it would usable within Aurora and Firefox (and all of the other browsers too, of course).
Yeah, it'd pretty much just break all of the built-in software. No PND files, buggy drivers, slow-as-crap...
But you are welcome to use another OS if you want. OP isn't nintendo.
No, I bought a videocard and for it and it fixed my problems (I should have qualified that: my old computer had problems running it until I upgraded it).
IIRC, the game's required specs were way too low. The cutscenes especially chewed up my old system.
What I'm really curious about is whether or not the Pandora will be able to handle The Curse of Monkey Island (through ScummVM), my personal favorite in the series.
