RetroVirus (no relation) is a homebrew puzzle game of the match-colours-to-make-them-disappear-ilk. If you like these types of games (and I love them), then you will be very pleased with this game.
The game is easily set apart from others in the genre by the detail that has gone into every...
Where to being?
The archive is great - having everything in the one place. The forum is excellent - the longest one I have ever read (over a year now).
Making and distributing my own games, what a great feeling. Seeing what other people can do with the device - there a lot of talented people...
Sorry, I thought Wesnoth was an RTS ... but I realise now I'm thinking of the Stratagus - Battle of Survival game .... d'oh!!! They are a little bit similar ...
I also wish reviewers would include retrovirus RTS in their list of commercial games. It's one of the few exclusives for the system and it's a serious attempt at making a good portable rts! :)
I found tilematch quite inspiring - it was the first complete and polished homebrew game I found for the gp2x and showed me that it was possible for one person to do a complete game with menus and sfx! Thanks to the person who did it! (miq01 (or something))
How great is ubuntu? I've used so many different types of linux over the years, but ubuntu is the first that's gotten it almost right!
It is the first distribution that makes me really dislike using windows at work!!!

As a free download to the people who have purchased the game, there is now a brief strategy guide in the extra download section of the retrovirus RTS webpage.
I'm also going to do a medal guide in the next few weeks about what is required to get the medals for each level and what they...
Other than seeing a "classroom" using the gp2x for educational purposes, did anyone find it weird that the vocab example they use on that webpage is "I regret that your mother died and left you alone."???
Thanks for your bug report Alyn,
The splash screen at the end of the game when you exit is supposed to stay up for 10 seconds, unless you press a key. The demo uses the same code (but different splash screen). I will definitely look at this!

I agree, so with the new release of the full game I tried to make sure you can put the game in any folder. It was a very last minute addition - probably the last thing I did if I recall correctly.
We should also do a thread for games that weren't finished in time!!! (ie MINE!!!!) AAAARRRGGHHHH!!!!! Oh well. But ohmygod what a beautiful menu it has. The nicest menu I have ever done in a game.
