in other words, their console is open, their online gaming system isn't.
that's perfectly fine as long as they don't pull a Sony.
its kinda like a private school with a dress code that requires you to wear their suits.
they let you buy the suit (console) and modify it but if you don't...
most of the work in a game is in the art, especially for simple puzzle/action games.
the code counts for very little and it's relatively easy to figure out when game logic code was copied.
that's because everyone who had a problem with this rule simply ignored your competition.

System requirements
1.5 GHz processor or higher
512MB RAM
64MB video card or higher (nVidia GeForce recommended)
DirectX version 9.0b or better
2.2GB of hard disk space
don't get your hopes too high people.
it'll never run.
it might walk... but...
I could have sworn I tested that but I must have had the port already crashed when I did.
good catch.
yes, it works if I plug the device into the hub before plugging the hub into the pandora.
(in big bold to catch the eye other pandora users that may search the forum for this...
I tried with two high-speed usb flash drives, two high-speed hubs (tried both bus-powered and using an external PSU), and one low speed mouse (plugged into the hubs).
plugging the flash drives directly would disable the Pandora's USB host port, requiring a reset.
plugging the hubs to the...
I have the same problem with the new kernel (3.2.21), but it works fine when I boot using the old kernel (2.6.27).
hold the right shoulder button while powering up your pandora and select the topmost "old kernel 2.6.27" option.
if this fixes it for you, its a software issue not hardware...
I have, on many occasions.
the first was by email on 2009/6/21, right after I ordered and paid.
even got a reply from Jacquelyn on this email confirming reception:
all of which I never got any follow up.
I'm with slaeshjag.
you can't label them and you can't swap out microSD cards casually, you have to be extremely careful to not lose them.
they are great as upgradable semi-permanent internal storage for mobile devices.
not so great as removable media.
last time one flew out of its...
there already is a plethora of docking stations for OpenPandora:
http://tinyurl.com/75ceogg
docking stations were required because you needed to plug 8 different cables to your laptop.
that's not the case anymore, all you need to plug is 2 or 3 cables: power, USB, and optionally video (if...
@WizardStan
@Exophase
even if we're all saying: "just don't use the internal microSD and ignore it" arguing logic with some is a waste of time.
someone saying "eew, I don't want an <Y> mixed with my <X>s" is right up there with the infantile "refusing to eat his meal because the potatoes...
I can't find the info confirming if its a LED or not.
but if its an LED backlight there shouldn't be a problem as dimming the screen is actually done with PWM: turning the LEDs on and off extremely quickly.
if the backlight is NOT LED then it could damage it.
... do they still make/use...
the GPU will be crawling thru hardened concrete trying to render.
Minecraft uses alpha test and transparency, both very costly on SGX.
I haven't started rendering with these features and the frame rate is already fairly low in BBQ.
and Minecraft's chunks are 16x16x128, I'm rendering...
then just don't use the would-be internal hidden microSD slot and stop crying.
there's no functional loss to adding something.
you're completely irrational.
OMG noooooooooo! two different things ?!?!? look out! your head's going to explode!!
I guess the Pandora having internal NAND AND...
I think 1x internal microSD, 2x external full SD would be great, especially if it means we can get extra RAM instead of RAM+flash on the PoP.
just make it so you can also boot from one of front slots if the internal microSD isn't present or non-bootable.
this way people on a budget can use a...
tiling or not, the processing still has to be done internally, so the GPU would still need about 8GB/sec internal.
1x is just to clear the internal tiles.
at least 2x for particles/alpha (2x worth of overdraw on particles is common, including water surface)
post-processing effect (like...
+1
and that's just to WRITE to the screen, you need to read it from memory too!
and you need to draw the screen first!!!
you have to count at the very least 32x that ( 8GB/sec ) to render a 3D scene at this resolution.
a single 64bpp render buffer (32bit RGBA + 24 bit depth + 8bit...
