    Manicminer-type Games.

In RetroGamer mag' they inteviewed Matthew Smith and asked about JSW, he said it was buggy and released before he wanted it released. However, it's a purists mag' I guess, so they'll be critical of any issues. This is good news, I'll be playing JSW now. Cheers for letting me know it's not really...

    Gp32x Googleised

'Pologies Nova, I read the lo-fi version too fast and made assumptions. The poll doesn't show in lo-fi view. The margaritas made me do it. ;)

    Manicminer-type Games.

Will do Troop', I'd laid off the latest release, but sounds like sound advice so I'll do it. I'm starting to realise just how many nice games came out for the wee rubber-keyed beastie. Wish I'd upgraded in '83.... 'Cept that was right about when I first saw a Sega SC3000 (also a rubber-keyed...

    Gp32x Googleised

C'mon dude, leave it be. What are you, running a 2400bps modem? Ignore it! Not a big deal by any means! If it helps us keep our community, no stress! Good lord man, if you can create a better (ad' free) site, please go ahead. No? Until then, let us all thank GoogleAds.

    Manicminer-type Games.

This a cool list guys, cheers! I vaguely remembered that there were a few hacks of MM floating around, I'll look into those. I'd not bothered with JSW because it's apparently so buggy, infinite deaths etc. Is it more playable than I'd been lead to believe? I guess using save states would get...

    Manicminer-type Games.

I never had a Speccy back in the day (had a ZX81 though!) so I'm making up for it with fZX32. I'm really enjoying Manic Miner (thank god for save states) and am wondering if you Brits out there can give me a few suggestions for similar games to try. Specifically, what I like about MM is that you...

I Want To Develop Some Software For The Gp32

If you're just wanting to play around with coding you could try one of the many 80's-micro emulators (C64, Atari ST, Spectrum) that run on Mac and are also supported on the GP. I'm fiddling around getting STOS (Atari ST Basic) running on my Mac, I figure I'll be able to save a completed disk...

How Did You Found Out About The Gp32?

I'm mad on emulation (live in a small apartment, no room for the real items!) and wanted a portable device. Looked in to PDA's but they all sucked for controllers. Looked at Zodiac and GP32, decided on GP while browsing this very site. Best decision I ever made. "Oh, and marrying you honey...."...

New Games For Gp32 Mame 1.2.3

I don't think there's any way to make dual-stick games really playable on the GP. When I find a game like that I go looking for ports (in Robotron's case Genesis had a very nice version of Williams Arcade Classics that utilised shooting in the same direction as moving. Far from a purists...

New Games For Gp32 Mame 1.2.3

GripReaper, you really are the man. To go ahead and add these (esp' Star Trek!) is a top thing to do for the community. And Space Fury is such a fun game too, as is Eliminator. I don't know how you nailed the controls on the vector games of the last release, but they work really really well...

New Games For Gp32 Mame 1.2.3

Ya know, I wish now I'd asked GrimReaper to see if Star Trek (Sega, 1982, vector graphic) could be added. Bit late now. My local arcade had a sweet sit-down version. It's a nice easy game to play. However, MacMame to the rescue..

    Mame Gp32 1.3 Download !

I've just gotten home from a week away and just now have dl'd Mame 1.3. Star Wars..... my god it's the promised land! And saving configurations... perfect. So much here to keep me busy, GrimReaper and Franxis thank you SO MUCH for all you've done for us. This is a fantastic release. I hope...

    Franxis Interview

Very very cool. Franxis is a top guy to work so hard at this for us all. As are other contributors, esp' GrimReaper for bringing us old-timers so many great vector games. Thanks for the interview!

    Gbax 2005 Scene Party

I'd be there with bells on, 'cept it's a hike from San Francisco. "Hey honey, what say we go to the UK, you know I've wanted to for a while. Why? GP party. What's a GP? That thing I keep you awake with with all the clicking. I'm such a what, honey? A geek? Ok I'm removing your user from the...

    Query With Williams Defender

There was a reverse button and an up/down joystick or up/down buttons. Thrust button caused forward motion in the direction the ship was pointing. Reverse would do a 180 turn. On the GP I find it easier to use 4-way joystick in the Genesis port, as otherwise there's just too many buttons for it...

    Query With Williams Defender

You may prefer to run "Williams Arcades Greatest Hits" on Genesis thru DrMD. Defender runs with 4-way steering, works quite well. For some reason though, after you start a game it gives you 5 or so extra men for no reason. So it's not the purist's choice, but it's worth looking into. Also has...

    Recommendations For Gp32 Case?

I preume you've got GameStop up in Seattle? I got a Pelican DS case carrying their name that does a nice job. It's snug, light and there's a wee sling in it for cards/cleaning cloth. I can jam a few batteries in there too if needed. I cut out a divider that was in there, your mileage may vary...

    Vns Games

Is there anywhere I can find more of these? I've got Pigeon in the City, and Warlock of Firetop Mountain. Fun, both of 'em. Any more out there? These things are great for killing time.

Both A New Gp32 And Psp User

I know v.little about the PSP. Seen a few, like 'em. By what you say Jeff, do you mean that commercial games sometimes come with updated os' on the umd? So you actually have to update your os to play that game?
