    GP32 Gp32 demoscene..

Ah! A fellow C64 veteran! Both I and Mithris are in the group Noice (www.noice.org). I started out on the C64 in 1988, was a member of Triad before I joined Noice. After the C64, I did some Amiga stuff, and then PC.

    GP32 Gp32 demoscene..

Check out http://www.monostep.org. It has a rather good collection of the "good" demos released lately.

    GP32 Gp32 demoscene..

I wonder if any of the groups that have released demos for the GP32 (Aardbei, Hitmen) are working on new demos? There have been a couple of nice releases, but no group have released more than one demo yet.

    XRick32 v1.2 released

Yeah, I know that feeling! I still haven't even completed level 1 myself! :D Yeah, I have some stuff that I'm working on. I'll probably release one or two more small crap games in the near future, but I also have some more serious stuff planned. The thing is, I have so little time so it's more...

    XRick32 v1.2 released

Sure, if someone wants it I could probably fix a releasable version of the source.

    XRick32 v1.2 released

Ahh, that could be it. I think MS doens't ship any JavaVM at all with the latest versions of IE/XP, you'll have to install it yourself. Damn Microsoft!

    XRick32 v1.2 released

Hmm.. Long time since I wrote those, but I think that any java VM that supports jdk1.1 or higher should be able to run them just fine. I just tried, and it worked for me. What browser are you running? Are you using Sun's or MS's VM?

    XRick32 v1.2 released

Features: * Highscore saving to SMC * Level codes being displayed on the little intro screen that comes before each level * A menu where you start the game, enter level codes and reset your GP32. * Smaller in size, only 170k compared to original 400k thanks to Mr.Spiv's excellent b2fxeC, so now...

Rick dangerous in the Ports section

Rick dangerous in the Ports section

Alright, I've dug deeper into the source code. I still can't even compile it without getting warnings, but atleast the resulting file seems to work fine, so I guess those warnings aren't all that important. :) Here's what I've concluded so far: * Highscoresaver (which was my original goal)...

Rick dangerous in the Ports section

There is a stick too? Damn, seem like my knowledge of the game is not at all up to par. Then I guess it's more questionable whether these new controls will be better, having to fiddle with the shoulder buttons in normal gameplay maybe isn't that good. The level restart thing sounds good (not...

Rick dangerous in the Ports section

I'll probably try to work on the highscore saver this weekend. The control changing idea is a good one, instead of doing up+A to shoot and down+A to lay bomb, it could be A to shoot and B to lay bomb. I'll look into it and see if it's easy to change (the port wasn't made by me, so I'm not all...

    Abuse

Yeah, I remember that game. But didn't the game require both mouse and key controls? As I recall you walked with the keys and aimed with the mouse (so you could run right, and at the same time shoot at an up-left angle for example).

    GPBlocks v1.0 released (new game!)

Actually, one of my goals when I decided the gameplay parameters (how many different colors there should be, the width and depth of the playfield etc.) was to make it rather hard, so that a game didn't last too long. When I sit down and play a game, I don't want to play be forced to play like an...

    GPBlocks v1.0 released (new game!)

And thanks for posting the news hando! Didn't mean to nag about it, just wanted to make sure that everyone who could be interested in trying the game finds out about it, and gp32x is one of the main gp32 news sources.

    GPBlocks v1.0 released (new game!)

Nope, no music. I'll blame it on the fact that the original game (for windows) didn't have music either, so I just went for the straight port. :)
