    Adic 2003 entries released.

I just played N-tris once, so I can't comment on whether the sequence is the same everytime or not. But IF it is, it's probably because the author forgot to seed the random generator.

    XRick Review

Just a note, the URL to my site on the XRick download page here on gp32x is obsolete, the new URL for my GP32 stuff is : http://www.lysator.liu.se/~sdw/gp32.shtml

    Adic 2003 entries released.

I can only agree with the previous posters who said Puzzle Mix was the best. Great execution, really professional looking with menus etc. A solid game! And I don't think it needs music while playing, it always tends tp gets annoying after a while in most games.

M3 magazine puts GP32 on Top 50 gadgets of 03 list

I think it was the Sony-Ericsson T610 Cellphone that got 1st. Btw, the N-Gage is not american, it's from Finland like all other Nokia phones...

M3 magazine puts GP32 on Top 50 gadgets of 03 list

Just noticed in the latest issue of M3 Magazine (swedish magazine that reviews all kind of gadgets: digicams, cellphones, home cinema stuff etc. etc.) they listed their "Top 50 cool gadgets of 2003". GP32 was in 37th place, ahead of GBA:SP which was on 40th. They put N-Gage at 15 though...

    GP32 A contact person for GP32 development

I've done some J2ME development. The GP32 has more than enough power to run a J2ME VM if there was one, but most J2ME games are 1) Adapted for very low resolutions (128x128 or so) 2) Using vendor specific extensions, mainly Nokia has much extra functions Now, not all phone games are written in...

    Article on GP32

Nice, but I think you went a little overboard with the max CPU speed, I don't think many GP32s hit 200MHz...

    Hayaku Demo

Good to see a new entry in the GP32 demoscene, we need more releases!

    Gianas Return is coming!

Great, the GP32 could really use a nice platformer. And since I had a C64 as a kid, Giana Sisters holds much more nostalgic value for me than all damn "fat-plumber" games put together! Will it be a free game, or is it going commercial?

    GP32 java new project ;)

I don't know if the person(s) behind that project will be able to pull it off, but the basic idea is great. Midp2.0 will probably be the common standard for cellphones in a year or so, which means there will be many games developed for it. By having a Midp2.0 compatible JVM, GP32 would gain lots...

    Falldown score files...

Damn, I thought I had a killer score! My best score is 201 in Hard mode.

    VICEvs.FRODO

Vice has cycle-exact VIC emulation (which requires MUCH CPU power), whereas Frodo uses line-mode only (way faster). So the reason why noone has ported Vice is that the GP32 isn't fast enough to run it.

GP32 source code of abandoned projects

The XRick source code you have on your site is the original port by Anders Granlund I think. I have added some things to that one, so it would probably be better to have my version of the source on the site. It can be found on my page: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~sdw/other.html

.mod swap!(so we can find good music to listen to)

Very nice post DJ Jesus! I really liked that you put all files for download aswell, so we don't have to search around for the mods. As for my favories, well guess I'll have to dig out the CD-R with my mod-collection and go through it. Ahh. good old Amiga mods. Nostaligia!

    EDGE article on mobile gaming...

Yeah, had Nintendo releasad a machine _today_ with the exact same specifications that the GP32 has (132Mhz CPU, 320x240 16bit etc.) people would be "OMFG BEST HANDHELD EVAR! This is the future of handheld gaming! etc. etc." and tons of great games would be released for it. But now, just because...

    Slander

Nice! A real good old diskmag like in the c64/amiga days! Actually it makes even more sense to have a diskmag on a portable system since you can read it anywhere! Immediatly when I started it up I recognized the music, but I had to think about for maybe half a minute before I recognized it -...

    GP32Vecx updated - v0.2 is out!

Thanks for all the feedback! Actually, I can understand that, when playing some games you almost get a feeling like "Hmm, this game is slow, but not so slow that I would want to play at almost 3x the speed!", but infact, I'm pretty sure that my calculations on the speed are correct. And my...

    GP32Vecx updated - v0.2 is out!

I have released version 0.2 of my Vectrex emulator for GP32. It can be downloaded from my webpage: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~sdw/other.html The improvments are: * You can now select and load ROMs from a file selector (thanks to CHNs excellent file requester!). * Invert color palette with...

    GP32Vecx v0.1 released

Thanks for your feedback people! I have already a new version ready (using CHNs excellent filerequester) that allows you to browse and play any Vectrex ROM. Compatibilty seems OK, atleast many of the games I've tried run fine. Speed is till slow though. :( Oh, and I just noticed that I left...

    GP32Vecx v0.1 released

So, since emulator coders seems to get all the praise in the GP32 community, I decided it was time to try my hand at the emulator business ;) I searched around on the net for a while and found the source to a Vectrex emulator that seemed pretty easy to port. After about two hours I had a...
