[announce] c64_tools (DSP loader and IPC)

That's too true :) . I tried to get into dsp development some time ago. But all the trouble to get the environment working (download tons of packages from TI, recompiling tools and libs (not to mention I hate it, to register with my real name to download something)) wasn't finally worth the...

[announce] c64_tools (DSP loader and IPC)

As it was said before, dspbridge and dsplink have already been available for a while. I think, the reason why the dsp was hardly (if ever) used is not because of high latency or (too) low execution time. I'd say it's because of the limited usefulness for most applications. The dsp performs best...

PS3 (or any other bluetooth controllers) on Pandora?

You pair them just as you pair any other device with the Pandora :)  (search for devices, enter pin, done) If this works, take a look at 'hidd'

Why don't you just order one with the Pandora?

    Generic gamepad device

So, now that we've found out that this has been discussed but not been done before, we might talk about other ways of implementing this. :) This could probably also be done as a regular kernel driver.  Would be interested in what aTc proposed. I guess it was somehow related to .next? Yes...

steambox rumors floating around, what do you think?

Still wondering if a Linux based Steambox can succeed...

    Generic gamepad device

There shouldn't be a disadvantage to keep it running in background. But would have to do some modifications to reduce cpu usage (maybe using blocking reads). But the question still is, if this is useful anyway, as most Pandora software is probably optimized to use the existing (multiple)...

How do I install Linux driver on the Pandora?

According to the makefiles MT7610U supports the chipsets and MT7601U So, iff your dongle has a mt7650u (which seems to be doubtful), the first one would be the right one.

How do I install Linux driver on the Pandora?

Just want to note that the new driver is for MT7601U not for MT7610U ;)

    Generic gamepad device

They already are. It's basically a 6-axis device (4 analog, 2 digital) with 8 buttons. It can easily be extended or modified. That shouldn't be a problem. You could run the tool from the start script (with '&' option to run in background) and just kill it when it's no longer needed. The kill...

Release [WIP] Master Control - Testers needed

Thanks for your feedback. Everything will be considered for the next version :) Taking a quick look, it seems like a controller must be configured within HIDTest. Can't tell you more, as I can't try it.

How do I install Linux driver on the Pandora?

I don't know. The only hint to the chipset is your wiki link. As this is not official, it may be questionable if the information is correct.

How do I install Linux driver on the Pandora?

As dmesg doesn't show any errors, I would assume it's simply the wrong driver.

    Generic gamepad device

Hi everyone I recently asked myself, why there is no generic gamepad device on the Pandora. I mean, we have the nubs and the gp-buttons, but they are all different devices (/dev/input/eventX) instead of one single device. Now, let's say someone ports a game to the Pandora that supports...

How do I install Linux driver on the Pandora?

The driver might need a firmware file. - Copy file 'RT2870STA.dat' from the archive to directory '/etc/Wireless/RT2870STA/' - Shutdown internal wifi - load module as before - type "sudo ifconfig ra0 inet <your ip address> up" - see, if it works :)  (check dmesg again)

Release [WIP] Master Control - Testers needed

That's no problem. For game controllers the Pandora-dpad will be mapped to the hat-switch by default. You can easily map them to normal buttons by editing the corresponding config file. Currently, you can't. But I'll add a option for that. Don't know. When I start the tool, I usually want to...
