well i tried to mod debian to use less ram but i ended up causing my wifi to not work at all :P 60 mb of ram on my arch install with its openbox gui.
im using sebt3's tool chain my libssl.so files are v 1.0.0
doing cd /usr/lib
sudo ln -s libssl.so.1.0.0 libssl.so.0.9.8...
so i moved to arch after causing debian and ubuntu to stop working :) i get the err
/usr/local/angstrom/arm/bin/opkg-cl: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
any ideas?
you can also just do
mplayer -vo x11
then drag the file onto the terminal and press enter make shure to leave a space after x11
<<had to re add this as it looks like the mod who cleaned didnt look at all of the posts?
very interesting ill give this a go once i get cross compiling to work
edit looks like i have to build a few things manually to attempt this :S
edit 2 wont have time for a few months to finish this got the new gcc to work but i came across a few issues :)
were not even touching the dsp core yet i bet there could be some speed improvements like moving the sound to the dsp core taking a good load off the cpu
can we have openbox instead of xfwm4? i notice that there is no lag delays when trying to open a menu in xfce4 and it uses less ram with the overall experience being much nicer.
