Do you mean a Wifi password, or a keychain password?
If you mean WiFi; the pandora should remember the password after you first enter it, you could also run unsecured (don't recommend it) just change the settings on the browser config page (192.168.1.1 or similar, check your router user...
Maybe if you take the picture under a bright light with the camera at an angle like this; Sorry about the big picture!
If the scratches are very small then you can get a screen protector and you won't be able to see the scratches, I believe any screen protector for an Archos 605 should...
That's the trickiest part of the whole deal, It is possible to crack the LCD if you don't pry in the correct place. I wouldn't have been able to do it without ED's video, he does a good job of explaining that part.
I actually find the Pandora much easier to take completely apart than an...
:o That is a scary situation. I could see why you wouldn't want to chance your $500 Pandora. However you can learn to fix much cheaper things. If any of your friends/family have something broken that they were not going to use any more or throw away. Example: a Wii that won't read discs, a...
But then you'll never know the joy of taking something apart, fixing it, putting it back together and having it work!
It really is a nice feeling.
The battery does not lock inside the case, it should fit semi snugly. Mine wiggles around a little bit and I don't have any problems. I can even wiggle the battery around with the unit on and it does not shut off. (I wouldn't suggest doing this)
Good contact is critical but you don't need a...
It's odd because it doesn't happen at the bootloader, it looks like it is happening right as linux is starting up. If it were hardware I would think it would happen all the time. If it were a PC I would say it was the video driver.
Maybe the update is being corrupted in some way. Try...
It almost looks like the pandora is sending too large a resolution or values outside the norm, I would try doing a reflash and redownloading those 2 pnds. deleting the appdata folders for both wouldnt hurt either.
Also does this happen when you load a rom or when you first start the pnd...
This would make sense if there isn't sufficient contact maybe the board isn't getting enough voltage.
I would think that applying a little bit of pressure on the battery above the contact area, with the battery door off could be a troubleshooting step for this.
ahhh I didn't know it was that extensive, these improvements would probably involve changing code in each program and that would mean fragmentation for the sake of a very small percentage of units.
Not worth it
On a side note thank you notaz, you are an asset to the Pandora community!
I have one more thing that you can try, If not I'm sure ED will be in here soon to arange an RMA. Don't be discouraged this is a great community and an awesome company. Somethings just slip under the radar no matter what.
Anyway a complete reflash using the flash kit may fix your unit. It is...
I remember reading somewhere on the forum that there were some SGX driver functions that didn't work on the 1.0.3 revision of the GPU, the revision in the first couple hundred delivered Pandoras.
Since we have a different revision GPU can we use those functions now?
I'm not sure what the...
I've run both of the 64 emulators on my HP Touchpad which has a 1.5 GHz dual core overclocked to 1.8GHz, 1 Gb of ram and an Adreno 220, and it still doesn't run that much faster than the Pandora.

If you read about the 64's architecture you realize how...
