    Gp2x Developer Releases

Notice how time dilates on the weekend. Monday through Friday take 24 hours each, but Saturday and Sunday combined take up enough time for two beer and a nap.

    Update From Gp2x.co.kr

Tis one of those funny but it's true stories . . . seems to be many of those when it comes to Windoze :P

    Update From Gp2x.co.kr

Windows is monolithic kernel and USB support is added to kernel through floppy disk emulation. Because it is monolithic the tables for the resources get messed up easily. Initial use of any USB device (first time plugged in to system), will use NEXT available shared DMA, IRQ, IO. Possibly...

    A Funny Thought On Memory

If this was unusable, why would MagicEyes market three different versions of their SOC, 32, 64 and 128 MB Ram versions?

    A Funny Thought On Memory

My point exactlty. If linux used 32 MB out of 128 that leave us approximately 94 MB after table structures to divide amongst cores etc. In my eyes that is a nicer amount of ram for programming than 22 MB divided between two cores. I knew there would be overhead involved with using linux, just...

    Gph Refused Gp2x-f200.

Extremely poor communication skills on GPH's part. Only information to Foreign customers is thru sporadically updated web site. Other information about systems progress is through these these very forums, thanks to people who can speak Korean, Craigix, ED, and the devs who are willing to...

    Another Bad News From Gp2x.co.kr

The deadline I'm setting right now is Nov 3rd + 7 days shipping time, due to personal reasons. Personally, I try not to support vaporware. So, Craigix, how does one cancel an order and get a refund?

What Office Suite Do You Use?

Must agree with vimacs here, M$ must be shaking in their boots. Use OOo at home, M$ at work. OOo has no problems opening or exporting to Offce formats. Still haven't seen any quirks with it.

    GP2X Gph Linux Kernel Source?

Is this just kernel source or does it include device driver code as well?

    Omg!

Anyone looking for something to port ?

    A Funny Thought On Memory

@DJWillis - Thanks for the reply. The thing I was thinking was that the kernel would use almost all available RAM at 32 MB & leave us with no memory at all  Wouldn't it be nice if they had opted for the 128 MB the MagicEyes SOC can handle, though?

    Mips Vs Arm

Never thought I'd see the day an advanced dev like mr mirko would be flamed by community members for reporting observations . . .

    A Funny Thought On Memory

With 64 MB of RAM installed and running linux, our apps only have 32 MB of RAM to use for themselves. So, if GPH DIDN'T upgrade to 64 from 32 MB of RAM as initially designed, what would our apps use for RAM?

    A Funny Thought On Memory

Anyone remember when GPH was still taking suggestions on the machine? Anyone recall when they agreed to bump the memory up to 64 MB of RAM? Here's the funny thought . . . Seeing how with the linux kernel active we only have 32 MB of RAM to use for apps, what would we run apps on if they...
