I'd be happy with black, silver, or grey. I'm not a big fan of red but I'm sure that could grow on me, if anything it will match my Nintendo 3DS. If we get grey, I can easily cut vinyl to make it look like an NES controller :)
My GP2X has always had problems with the joystick nub. It doesn't like going to the left. I tried opening it once to play around with it but have not been able to find a solution. Can this be fixed?

Not too worried about power consumption on the Pyra. Pyra has a user replaceable battery and just about everybody these days has external battery packs.

I'm feeling nostalgic for the clamshell formfactor. I had the SL-C1000. I don't remember off the top of my head which roms I used but I did enjoy QTopia with Gant themes. I wish Gant was still popular.
A FLOSS application would be a good alternative in the future but I'm currently married to the DropBox ecosystem :) I'll evaluate my options when I get there. Thanks everyone.
One thing that I'm hoping the to do with the Pyra is to use DropBox. It would be nice to take pictures on my DSLR and pop the full size SD card into my Pyra to upload pictures. I see some older discussions regarding DropBox but nothing for the Pyra yet.
