Close up high volume keyboard video

Not to veer off topic but I do find this subject interesting. I'm considering building a home video security system but I have found it difficult to find a prebuilt solution that does not "phone home"/ go through somebody else's server. I could build my own system from scratch or take a...

    GP2X Joystick Nub Woes

I found some of the mods. A lot of the images are gone but I did find the schematics. I decided to just order these PlayStation joysticks. https://www.ebay.com/itm/382795490276

    GP2X Joystick Nub Woes

Or rather, can anyone point me towards a replacement joystick to solder onto the board?

    Where are we now?

I'd be happy with black, silver, or grey. I'm not a big fan of red but I'm sure that could grow on me, if anything it will match my Nintendo 3DS. If we get grey, I can easily cut vinyl to make it look like an NES controller :)

    GP2X Joystick Nub Woes

My GP2X has always had problems with the joystick nub. It doesn't like going to the left. I tried opening it once to play around with it but have not been able to find a solution. Can this be fixed? Mine is is the same as below.

    RAM and power consumption?

Not too worried about power consumption on the Pyra. Pyra has a user replaceable battery and just about everybody these days has external battery packs. As for the collapse of society as we know it, bring it on. I got off grid solar :)

Long time lurker, thinking about purchasing

I'm feeling nostalgic for the clamshell formfactor. I had the SL-C1000. I don't remember off the top of my head which roms I used but I did enjoy QTopia with Gant themes. I wish Gant was still popular.

Long time lurker, thinking about purchasing

A FLOSS application would be a good alternative in the future but I'm currently married to the DropBox ecosystem :) I'll evaluate my options when I get there. Thanks everyone.

Long time lurker, thinking about purchasing

One thing that I'm hoping the to do with the Pyra is to use DropBox. It would be nice to take pictures on my DSLR and pop the full size SD card into my Pyra to upload pictures. I see some older discussions regarding DropBox but nothing for the Pyra yet.

How is the Pyra supply chain holding up during the pandemic?

I wish everyone to be safe and healthy. This pandemic would be slightly more bearable with a Pyra to play with but I can wait if there are delays.

Does the Pyra have something similar to IME (Intel Management Engine)?

Good thing for us, security through obscurity!

Now that I'm feeling nostalgic for my Sharp Zaurus, I wonder if I could get any of the programs to work.
