It reminds me of the Pandora!

Discord is works great for it's intended purposes but it's another one of those services where the user is the product.

    Windows 10 ARM on Pyra?

If you want to be sued to oblivion. After the N64 source code leak, emulator project teams outright said they will not use the code to support N64 emulators.

    Windows 10 ARM on Pyra?

One needs to keep themselves entertained as we wait for our Pyra :)

    Windows 10 ARM on Pyra?

I know this is laughable but I'm curious if this would possible given that Windows 10 ARM is available for the Raspberry Pi.

Physical kill switches for the radio module? Something worth investigating.

    Where are we now?

Laugh reacting to this from a laptop that came with Linux out of the box.

    Pyra Mods

I'm hoping to get a second lid with my order to add in a USB webcam.

Years ago, I remember using the accelerator in my iBook G4 to change workspaces by smacking the side of the screen.

New Pyra pre-order - General questions

Welcome! I just pre-ordered my Pyra back in March of this year. I think Linux can be described in this way, "everything is a config file". You can do pretty much anything with the terminal and text editor.

    Emulate Pyra on x86?

OK, so it sounds like I should be able to download the most recent Pyra image and run it under QEMU. I'll have to give this a try and see what I can do.

    Emulate Pyra on x86?

I'm sure there are technical reasons why this isn't worthwhile but would it be possible to emulate the Pyra on an x86 system to play around with the environment? I have a fairly powerful PC at my disposal.

On the upgradability of the Pyra

That is my plan. I put in a request for a spare lid assembly to go out with my Pyra with the hope that I can fit in a laptop webcam.

Wow that's impressive! Love the transparency.

    It's software this time!

I should have specified, it could appear to be unfair towards people that paid full price for a 4gb model. I honestly have no issue with 2gb buyers getting a free upgrade while we pay more for the same device. More happy Pyra users!

    It's software this time!

It's probably less problematic to give the 2gb buyers a free upgrade than asking them for more money. I can see how it's unfair but it seems like the better move.

On the topic of scroll bars, the Sharp Zaurus solved this by including a physical scroll wheel on the side of the device.

Thank you! It was in my junk folder.

Long time lurker, thinking about purchasing

Now I'm looking forward to the Pyra more than ever. I have decided to sell all of my computers including my gaming desktop, gaming laptop, and my two iMacs leaving me just with my humble webserver and corporate issued laptop. My future setup at home is going to look like this... System76 Oryx...

    2GB and 4GB

Ah yes, reserve the other 2gb for VRAM.

To be more specific, I just need GPSd to be functional. I'm not sure how the GPS on the Pyra works, it may be a little different from a conventional serial device since it's part of the 4g modem.
