    Pyra Unofficial Quick Reference

What is a tip withot content ... I found nothing here ;-) Edit /etc/bluetooth/main.conf as sudoer ... change the last line to AutoEnable=false. In Terminal do... gsettings set org.blueman.plugins.powermanager auto-power-on false or use dconf-editor to do this. Blueman-widget is present...

    Modem not connecting

I try a new molex antenna. Better bandwith but bigger. If it works, I try to find a better place.

    RISC OS?

"Fast and Dirty" I once tried to create "motion pictures". The result can be seen on "RISC OS Berlin"... It is accessed from the Titanium under RISC OS. Better for the eyes ;-) Not all "gold" but it shines ;-)

    Modem not connecting

Different antennas or parts of one are required for different frequency bands. As before with VHF (First) and UHF (Second and Third), in case anyone remembers ;-) The antenna covers the frequency range from 824 - 960 MHz and 1710 - 2170 MHz. After 2019, however, 700MHz and 3.6 GHz were added...

    RISC OS?

Back to a nativ RISC OS... First steps with the Letux bootloader and a RISC OS uImage. I can follow the boot process ... grafical output is missing. I'm not sure but it looks like USB and SD will not work... As I wrote... step by step...

    Modem not connecting

Looks like the A10393 antenna is not powered (no power pins described in the datasheet) so I think is presend at startup. I have try to install Letux to a card but it boots only to the console and starlxde gives a "gtk cant find display" error. So I can not compare at this time.

    Modem not connecting

Looks better than yesterday. Have, inside a building, a stable connection since more than a hour. Do a lot configuration things... full signal strength.

@ED To late... ;-) Have add a second antenna. May be is a bit better (have an mobile connection at home, yesterday not) but not sure. Have to try a bit more... The antenna is from a quectel modem but I have no specifications. Have read the A10393 datasheet. Looks like the antenna not support...

    Modem not connecting

Is like elw3 say... I had a first contact via Vodafone but I was standing on the roof of a high-rise building in Berlin and the "celltower" was < 50m away as the crow flies. Optimal conditions but only two bars... :-( From experiences with my LTE Stick... Problems with the power supply or with...

    Modem not connecting

Sometimes I should think about first and then write ;-) *sudo rfkill list all gives 0: WWAN: Wireless WAN Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: no *sudo rfkill unblock 0 set Soft blocked to no and "Mobiles Breitband" is back in network widget and I can activate but no connection at this time...

    Modem not connecting

It is turned off and I think it was my mistake. It was visible as I play around any days ago. I have untick the mobile connection in the network widget and since nothing is detected and available. If I do this with wireless I can tick it back... Any ideas to get it back?

    Modem not connecting

Mmm,.. is the internal modem an USB device? My external LTE Surfstick is working without problems and the internal "buildin original modem" is not supported? Can I check the driver? On the other hand, I see a "vodafone LTE net", if I have a SIM internal plug in but I cannot use.

    RISC OS?

My own setup is ready... and I run any bechmarks... on Panda and Pandora RISC OS is the nativ OS. No Linux or what ever behind. On Pyra it is the RISC OS executable ... something like Wine for WIN progs. RISCOSmark 1.01p (14 May 2003) Comparison with Pandaboard Cortex A9 1.2GHz running RISC...

    RISC OS?

It's pretty "crazy"... We have more supported hardware than at "heydays of RISC OS" but it depends on the "basics". WiFi support... not really, browser... Netsurf fast but not usable with many pages, Iris compatible but very slow..., the development environment is 90's, games... even the newest...

    RISC OS?

I use RISC OS for nearly all (95%) the private things I do with a computer. It is the original OS for ARM computer ;-) But they are not enough programmer so we have a lot of missing things. :-(

    RISC OS?

The maintainer of the OMAP5 RISC OS port is also a German, has ordered a Pyra and we are occasional in contact ... hope more next time ;-) For the initial OMAP5 port in 2016(?) we get some help from the Pyra team (thanks to HNS). The OMAP5 specs are not free.

    RISC OS?

Yesterday the Pyra arrives me. Have spend two hour... First try with nativ RISC OS (OMAP5 ROM) was not successful. I will try serial debug next few days. But the "Linuxport" is working. Is not an emulator. RISC OS is running as an executable. Very fast and I have access to the Linux...
