One question. Would it be possible to create a solution that deactivates one half of the 4GB RAM for Power saving purposes ? Maybe with a switch on the CPU- Board. So that you can choose between full and half Memory.
Or is it allready to late or to complicated in this stage of development ?
Nice to see a first prototype of the Pyra ! Thank you for the video.
I've one question that bothers me : What's the situation of the clickable Nubs, are there only enough for the first units or do you got a new source for them ?
Hi, thats nice to hear ! The last months at my shelf must have been a bit boring for my Pandora. So i am happy that it has found a new home at your place.
Do you plan to get a Pyra in the near future ?
Hello, I am offering my Pandora here because i haven't used her much lately.
Perhaps somebody else has more use for it than me.
Specs:
It's an 1 Ghz Modell with 512 MB RAM with a silver case.
Condition:
Used but generally in a good condition.
As far as i can say, everything works properly...
Please, try to find some clickable Nubs with hall sensors. In my opinion it is a bad and unintuitive solution to move the second Nub to "mouseclick" like it is on the Pandora right now.
Sure i can bind the ckick function to two other keys, but they loose their original function and i have to...
NFC and Bluetooth are totaly different technologies. Afaik they've nothing in common and are used for different purposes.
NFC is used by Samsung to transmit the Data for a Wifi-Direct connection between two Samsung Androids (S-Beam). But I'm sure it's a proprietary protocol.
There ia another...
It's a nice feature in my android phone but imho it could be "really" usefull in the Pyra with the open OS and software.
Iirc NFC and RFID are pretty similar.
I don't know anything about general security issues bu i'm no expert.
One solution could be to only turn it on when in use/needed like Bluetooth or Wlan.
It might be a bit to late, but would it make sense to add an NFC device to the Pyra ?
I don't know much about the cost or the needed room for the Chip + Antenna, but i can imagine some interesting scenarios of use.
It could be used to trigger Events on the Pyra via NFC-Tags or to communicate...
I don't care for any special Stuff like turn or flipable Displays. I'm just interested in a standard Clamshell Device like the Pandora, but this Time with a solid and durable hinge.
Its a good Idea to connect a PS2-Pad to the Dock, but think this might be to console specific.
just plug a cheap PS2-->USB converter in the Docking Station and use it with your PS2 Pad.
Or build your own Docking Station and integrate it.
