Hmm, good point. I'm not really much of an artist either. I could start with a Proof Of Concept and hopefully someone else will decide they want to do some 3D modelling for it?
I'm just finishing a WebGL-based masters now and would mind taking a look at doing something...
I should be able to start in about a week's time when I get more free time.
Where is the code located?
Hmm, maybe I should have explained that one of the reasons that I want to use C is that I am very familiar with C++ and other object oriented languages like Java and python.
I find that my way of thinking is such that I get bogged down in what patterns I should use, rather than in what I'm...
This is one of the reasons I forgot to mention I think C is great. C fits in well with almost every other language in existance, which makes it a great candidate if you want to script stuff down the road. Which I would like to do with python. I've done some python wrappers for C++ before, and it...
Uploaded a short video of zelda, just running around in Kokiri village. It's not that playable yet, not if you want to get on later when there's more effects etc. I hope Mupen64 will be more optimized but still love the progress that's been done. Not tried other games yet...
Hi,
I've decided that the next game I'm going to write will be in C, without using any C++. I was wondering if many people do this in the pandora community?
I know most libraries are written in C, but as far as I know most people write games in C++.
There are a couple of main problems I...
Hi Sorry for the lack of replies, I am still working on this, wondering if anyone knows if there are any examples of C++ SDL using something HW_SURFACE intensive, something where there is a significant speedup.
I can't really think of any at the moment. Maybe rendering lots of triangles at...
Thanks for the replies, I've been working on this for the past couple of days a little bit each day.
So this problem can be reduced to getting HWSURFACEs to work in SDL, then seeing how this can be done in pygame.
This is the test script I have been using:
import pygame
pygame.init()...
Hi,
I just recently got my pandora (last week) and I said I would have a look at the pygame performance issues people are having, and the feasibility of using HWSURFACE on the pandora.
What I need is some examples of code people think run "too slowly". Examples from games you're working on...
Could be alright, or a USB dongle like BLACKALiCE suggested. There really isn't much room for anything though.
Any of the devs know what this is for? Who designed the case?
Sure that's what I thought too, but it's too small for an SD card and too big for a stylus, so I can't think of anything else.
Anyway, here it is :
Any ideas?
Hey guys,
I've been knocking around the forums for a while and I finally got the money to upgrade a few weeks ago.
So I got my pandora last Friday and it is great! I've gotten myself readdicted to FF7, somehow its more fun to play things on the pandora than on the Playstation, but maybe...
