Do You Think Gph Knows That Their Website Is Broken?

That's so weird. Why would they design the site to only work in old versions of Internet Explorer? I usually only use Chrome and Firefox, and there's no way to get the site working properly in those browsers.

Do You Think Gph Knows That Their Website Is Broken?

I'm talking about fungp.com. It's obviously broken. The front page looks great, but everything else looks like it's missing a style sheet or something. Not to mention, 'registration' seems to never send an activation e-mail (I've tried twice now), and the 'contact us' page links to a site...

Handy (Atari Lynx Emualtor) For Wiz .. Very Alpha

Oh, I guess I missed your edit. Libiconv should be included in this 'prepackaged' OpenWiz SDK: http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/topic/48635-a-slightly-more-complete-toolchain-libs-for-linux-devs/

Alright, just make sure you're using a proper script to load a ROM; since there's no frontend in the code, it will exit to the menu immediately if there isn't a filename passed to it on the command line.

I think the one from the OpenWiz SDK might work (though I have absolutely nothing I can back that up with). You could also try removing -liconv from the Makefile libs to see if it will just link without it.

Now you have to copy libiconv.a to your libs directory from one of the other SDKs. :)

    Picodrive 1.80

Notaz, any word on Game Gear support? I've been kind of disappointed in AlexKidd2X on the Wiz, so if you could add Game Gear support to this thing, that would be awesome!

I have the glare shield, too, it just feels like I'm peering into a small, awkward space when I use it.

    Thinkgeek

I don't know, man. :( It's kind of a sad thing, these communities tend to die off after the consoles go out of production. I never saw much development for the GP32 after the GP2X was released, and the GP32 is still a great handheld!

Well, my Lynx screen looks good at one specific angle, but it's kind of hard to keep it there during the whole play time. Also, it has one pixel that flickers a lot for some reason. Your problem now stems from the fact that you're using ld instead of gcc or g++ to do the linking. :)

Alright, I finally got it compiling and running with the official SDK, although I had to use OpenGL headers from my PC's Linux distribution before it would finish compiling. Com64: You'll need to go back in the Makefile and specify the full path to the sdl-config script provided by GPH in all...

I actually can't get it to compile for the Wiz, even. I dunno how skeezix got around it, but for me it keeps looking for certain components of OpenGL that just don't exist on the Wiz. I asked skeezix about his toolchain and libs, and he said he'd need to check his hard drive to see, but he...

    The Stereo Separation Issue

Hmm, I wonder if they do, too. I can't remember noticing anything on mine, but it's been very long time since I sold it, too. I'm pretty sure my GP32 does proper stereo, but the GP32 has the problem where if you're trying to push too much through the system or graphics bus at the same time, the...

Thanks, Jeff! I'm setting up a toolchain installation on my new laptop right now, and I'll do my best to get volume controls added in. :)

    Prospective Console Recruitment

I think the digital sticks that people like are the ones with microswitches that 'click' when you hit the direction you're aiming for. :) At least those are the ones that I like. I like the GP32 and NGP digital sticks, but I hate the GP2X digital stick.

    The Stereo Separation Issue

Honestly, I haven't noticed this yet on my Wiz. I guess it's because I don't use it to listen to music on it or anything, and the videos I watch tend to not have any stereo separation in the first place. As for playing games, for me the speakers are too close together to tell any difference...

    Prospective Console Recruitment

Wrong! The GP32 and GP2X F100 both had digital sticks. The GP32 had a digital 'clicky stick' like the NGP, and the GP2X F100 had a digital stick that felt like an analog stick (so it kind of sucked).

    Supaboy Pocket Snes

You should research the company behind it. They've had the Gen Mobile out for a while now - I don't think they'd release a SNES version if there wasn't a market for that kind of thing.

    So Long To My Wiz

That's only if you leave a static image on the screen. If you're actually PLAYING the game, you shouldn't have a problem.

    Hi I'm New Here...

Woah! That's NOT normal. I ordered a Wiz from ThinkGeek last month and only got the Wiz.
