Wireless Charging for Pyra? (in addition to charging via cable)

I own a Nexus 4 and have never used its wireless charging capability. I think it will be an interesting feature when wireless charging coffee tables become popular, but I have yet to see one in Madrid (Spain). Anyway, AFAIK the technology is really cheap to include on devices, so... why not?

The day the Pandora goes even more open

¡Great news! As a hardware designer myself, I'll sure have a look to the schematics and board files. ¡THANKS!

    Pyra carry case

My vote goes also for the old case. I have one and at first I had to introduce my OP facing down or it would not fit, but about a month later, it now fits perfectly both sides, and it's just what I need: a small case that protects the console and has some space for spare SD cards.

    Which distro to use? (Poll)

About the systemd bashing, I don't see a problem with it. I have not used it too much (just start/stop/enable/disable services, and I have also created my own services for static network configuration and other chromebook specific stuff), and I like it. It takes a bit to get used to it, but it's...

    Which distro to use? (Poll)

I'm in love with ArchLinux since the first time I installed it around 3 years ago. That's the reason that led me to vote it... even though I'm afraid it is not a suitable distro for this kind of device (most people don't want to mess with the terminal to fix things that eventually break during...

Neo900 - Dying fast - GDC dropped support

I  hope this project succeeds. Unfortunately I cannot afford a Neo900, but I'm following it and I hope sometime in the future I can buy one.

    Release aircrack-ng

Grab it from the repo. It's version 1.1. I have tested airodump-ng, aireplay-ng and aircrack-ng and them all worked great. If you have never used it, be warned this is not newbie friendly, read the documentation and tutorials before doing anything. This tool is dangerous for several reasons: it...

    Unable to compile aircrack

I got version 1.1 to cross compile using Yactfeau, and it works pretty well. I might try packaging it inside a .pnd if I get some time and there is interest, but I think it makes more sense to run it outside a pnd because of the way this tool is used most of the time (opening several terminal...

Beautiful landscapes are prettier than portraits

It's a shame there is no MIPI landscape LCD, even if resolution is even lower than 720p. I know most people here disagree, but I'm sure even a "low resolution" 1024x600 screen would be more than enough for a 5" screen, specially if the main use will be emulating old games.

    Is the Oculus Rift doomed?

How exactly is the OR data more useful to Valve than it is to FB? Valve does already have access to your play data. Maybe OR could give them more information about "how" you play, but they could extract that same data using other methods if they wanted (at least for their own games). Facebook is...

    Is the Oculus Rift doomed?

My bad, it was God Ginrai who stated there is no difference. Dunno why I thought it was you. Sorry for that.

Beautiful landscapes are prettier than portraits

I know little about image compression, but PNG doesn't always achieve good compression rates (and sometimes it achieves compression rates much higher than that). Usually it compresses poorly photographs (you should use JPG for that) but achieves high rates when compressing things with plain...

Beautiful landscapes are prettier than portraits

Forget about Apple retina shit. Just go to a phone store and watch 2 phones with a screen size around 5" and half hd vs full hd resolutions. As I stated before, I own a 4,7" half hd Nexus 4 and my wife owns a 5" fullhd Nexus 5, and I can only spot the difference when holding the phone very close...

    Is the Oculus Rift doomed?

Two examples: 1. I go to a clothes shop. A shop assistant watches what I'm buying and recommends me a complement. 2. I go to a pub with my friends. The bartender peeks at our conversations and starts recommending us all kind of shit: dandruff shampoo, movie tickets, health items, viagra...

    Is the Oculus Rift doomed?

@WizardStan: I don't know if your previous post was intended to be ironic or not, as I'm not an english native speaker, sometimes it's difficult for me noticing these kind of things. Anyway, there is a HUGE difference between notifying me when one of the games I added to my wishlist is on sale...

    Is the Oculus Rift doomed?

I do not know whether Valve sells or doesn't sell data. I just say it would be stupid for them to do it. Just look at the huge controversy that arised when they were found to, in some rare cases, have a peek at the browser history to find cheaters. Imagine somebody would find they mine data...
