    The Communication Cube

The other day I learned that one my favourite musicians, Mike Patton of Faith No More, did voice acting in one of my favourite games, Portal. He played the GLaDOS Anger Core (ai). Cool. I googled it and one of top ai results was a detailed hallucination about a paedophilia conviction: Mike...

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

When I decided I wanted to play Links Awakening again (due in no small part to you) I did consider the GB version on AP because it's gorgeous with it's fluorescent mouldy pixels. The remake is gorgeous too though. GBC DX version not so much.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Completed Links Awakening on switch 2. I had positive memories of playing it on Gameboy when originally released and thoroughly enjoyed it again. Its very whimsical, Zelda lite. I enjoyed the linearity and item based progression. Fun to learn that it was originally skunkworks and the designers...

    The Caring Corner :)

Sex slavery is one thing, but many people are in the sex industry by choice. Porn is viewed as easy money if you are fortunate to be good looking enough. Making a porno on your 18th birthday is cliché in southern california. Its not even really frowned upon. Your boyfriend might not like it but...

    The Caring Corner :)

I thought that AI would decimate the porn industry but I'm having my doubts. It just doesn't do it for me.

All them tiny Handheld who shall not deserve its own Thread

What made me bite the bullet on the AP was the realisation that a GBA + everdrive was a suboptimal way to experience GB Tetris. It uses emulation (goomba) and feels sticky and slow. AP runs it perfectly so I'm back to my life goal of getting 500k points. If I only wanted DMG I'd go for a...

All them tiny Handheld who shall not deserve its own Thread

AP is a work of art. It's the best GB experience I am aware of. The screen looks so good and the shaders are really nice. Don't forget it also plays tons of arcade, handheld and 16-bit games - perfectly. Old games need to be fast and AP does them justice. The only drawback imo is the battery...

    The Communication Cube

EA will be fully controlled by a small group of investors who will have far fewer rules to follow and this additional freedom is expected to equate to increased profits. They can for instance sack tons of developers and it won't immediately affect the value of the company like if it were traded...

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I recently got gta3 & vice city recomps on Dreamcast. I prefer their graphics to gta5/PS4. I love blocky vectors. Unfortunately they both crash quite a bit.

The What Music Are You Listening To Thread

I bumped into Justin Hawkins on a flight from London to Zürich. He was with his daughter and totally dressed like a rock star. I like his podcast so I mentioned he's still relevant which he didn't seem to take too well.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I just completed BotW on switch 2. It's a big deal, Zelda is my favourite series. What I liked * The ambient music * Gameplay * Cool marble of the shrines What I didn't like * Quest progression is meh * Since weapons break you are incentivised to flee * Too much climbing (and slipping) * Far...

Can you guys read this? https://www.economist.com/britain/2025/08/12/britain-is-a-global-gaming-superpower England sold it's computer industry prematurely. We invent all this stuff but others reap the rewards. Think ARM, DeepMind, Rare. Apparently we are still at the forefront of video games...
