I've had that problem. The rubber contact is bent so it's not touching the MB when you press on the button. I had to open mine up and fix it. Luckily while it's open I also noticed my speaker was at an angle and I readjusted that too. Mine was assembled incorrectly. Not a big deal though as...
Here is my Dreamcast joystick mod. I tried that idea I mentioned earlier about putting 2 together but it kept hitting the GP2X case when moving left and right. So what I did was just stick one Dreamcast joystick onto the GP2X joystick using double stick tape. Works great. I can finally play...
The gamers didn't go anywhere. They're just grown up now. Priorities change.
I used to game a lot when I was younger but now finding the time to play is hard. I usually only touch my PS2 or Gamecube once or twice a week and when I do it's only for a couple hours. I'll make time to play some...
THey should run fine. I also don't feel like reencoding so I just toss some tv shows on the SD card and they all work. Even big files that are 700MB+ work. I usually only reencode if the volume is too low or video is dark.
They do include this info in the readme but some just choose to ignore reading it. :P
And no you don't need the mp3 but you won't get any music. SFX hasn't been emulated yet. Also, only a few games have music like Metal Slug 1/2.
Looks great but how does it work for fighting games?
BTW, looking at your pictures gave me an idea on how to add thickness to the Dreamcast analog stick. I have one already cut up but it's to thin. What I could do is cut up another one and glue them together bottom side touching. This would...
Wow, talk about being a Christmas grinch. I respect Belmont and all the work he's done for MAME but he needs to change his attitude. At least give the GP2X a chance before shooting it down. I mean it's only been out 2 months, unofficially that is.
Had to let that out. Merry Christmas everyone!
Wow I tried more games (classics) and runs amazing.
I have something to say about the joystick though with MAMEGP2X. I'm able to pull off dragon punches and fireballs in either directions in Street Fighter 2 easily but not in DrMD or SNES. So now I find the joystick not the problem but...
I've only had a chance to try out Street Fighter 2 and Strider and they both look great aside from some graphic glitches and slowdowns. Looks promising though.
