tried it on my f200 that shipped with 4.0.0 and everything went smoothly. the boot time is very fast which is definitely appreciated after dealing with slow 4.0.0 boot times. some nice built in apps though had a problem with gmu (which has always been my favorite music player) though I see now...
used items you got at a good price off of ebay don't really count. you'd really have to go off whats currently available new which is the psp 2000 and 3000 ($170). this wiz is just $10 more in that case.
the main problem I had was that I didn't know every xcom version I had downloaded was the 1.2 version which also needed the 1.4 patch on top of it. once I added the 1.4 patch it was easy to get running.
there is nothing wrong with using the default menu its just that most people prefer gmenu since its better laid out, easier to use, and has access to a wealth of options such as overclocking and sound volume at start of program. if you don't mind the default menu and never used gmenu there's...
thanks for the guide. I was able to go from 4.1.0 and 4.1.1 with no problem but for 4.0.0 I needed a clean sd card which you mentioned. I didn't think it would matter as long as the files were there but that was what went wrong for me.
now I have 4.0.0 and autorun working fine
try it on your current firmware before upgrading. autorun is broken in newer firmware with makes gmenu2x more of a pain to run. you can still use it regardless but with autorun working you won't ever have to see the default gph menu again.
well just to see what it would do I "upgraded" to 4.1.1 and after seeing the small improvements in the built in apps and after seeing broken autorun I tried to go back to 4.0.0 but it doesn't seem like it fully went back. It can start in gmenu2x but after I quit a program it goes to the default...
Just thought I'd mention I did a rare update of my homebrew/ public domain roms site. I really like the atari 2600 homebrew as there's still quite a community around that at atariage.com
I tried to put only the most fun games in my packs. Of course all credit goes to the actual authors of...
yeah the f200 wasn't dropped cause of lack of demand. distributors were having trouble getting enough units from gph before it was announced they were dropping the f200.
I haven't noticed any problem with the audio hardware on the f200. gmu plays fine like you said and the default player...
I've never had it crash but I've never gotten that far in nethack period much less on any gp2x. playing it on the f200 seems to have some problems. As with dzz's zoov game diagonals don't seem to work and this game also uses the "stick click" from the f100 and doesn't seem there is any other...
hah topless wii was pretty funny.
this sexy battle game is pretty poor though. I usually like to look for any good points in homebrew I can but this is quite basic and has no real gameplay. you hold a button... exciting.
I'd much rather see the game second exodous has envisioned where...
yeah I just noticed today that volume doesn't work for me either. I'm using firmware 4.0.0 so I don't think firmware is the issue.
besides that great release
