I just got hold of a teensy usb micro controller board (amtel mega32u4) this is a full speed device not just hi speed so it is *defiantly* a USB2.0 device and the data sheet claims FULL usb2.0 compliance... However when I plug this device in I get the dreaded "unable to enumerate device" in...

    Abiword Dictionary

it all works fine, you will need to complile the dict on the pandora though, wrong endien-ness ?? as an extra gottcha until such time as you actually type something the spell menu item will remain greyed out....! (had it working for ages without realising and still "fixing" it !!!!)

    Debian On An Sd Card

as far as the pnd stuff goes it shoves fail logs in /tmp as pnd-somthing-or-other worth a look can sometimes help... theres a delay parameter in autoboot.txt isn't there, you might need to up it to get usb devices spinning but that *shouldn't* be an issue....

    Debian On An Sd Card

I had a (quick!) look at building a more modern kernel, but must have missed some pandora specific patches as it failed :( I cannot help but thinking the open embedded is really holding the Pandora back, I can only assume that's the reason for such an out of date kernel??? all the omap2/3...

    Wicd Redux

just preventing it running by deleting its links in /etc/rc5.d/ is more than sufficient, you could probably uninstall it with opkg but I don't really see the point... aside from the easier and more comprehensive configuration gui, wicd will be most useful if you are rolling your own debian...

    Replacing Networkmanager

be brave! I can't think of a way to easily and reliably trackdown what files it installed on my machine and re-running the already compiled install will probably just cause a recompile anyway...

    Replacing Networkmanager

holy crap they have some C code for string manipulations!!! Pythons way better for that, I done a whole app with a mate to resize and tile windows in *pure* python and that directly accesses xlib - the mind boggles!
