haven't you been keeping up around here? the gp2x first edition, the one you got, is more like the beta (or equiv.) i've heard that the actual "consumer" release will be january when gph will supposedly fix their hardware/software problems.
personally i wasn't expecting the first release of the gp2x to be perfect. the gp32 went thru 3 revisions before it finally reached it's current state. i wager that the gp2x will go thru revisions as well, especially if the aforementioned becomes a big deal. stay tuned, refinements will take...
i'm from ballard, seattle, king county, puget sound, washington state, united states of america, north america, western hemisphere, earth, 3rd planet, solar system, 5th spiral arm, milky way galaxy, local group.
what's the deal? it's seems like a lot of people are overly concerned about the most obscure things about the gp2x.
like boot up time, what it can and can't emulate, where the headphone jack is, whether the joystick is concave or convex, on and on and on.
i mean seriously, with a lot of this...
found out about the gp32 by complete chance a couple of years ago. have convinced 3 friends to buy it. naturally, i've been following the community since then so i heard about the gp2x.
 bad wording. my bad. by that i meant a place/community that supports/backs the xgp. this is why i don't like posting right after waking up
