    Sdhc Compatibilty List

If it worked, then it's compatible. How can it be anything else? Cards will often screw up if the FAT gets corrupted (removing the card while writing is the main cause) but can usually be fixed.

    Gp32 Revival Coding Compo Launched

I've started thinking about starting coding. That's quite an achievement for me these days.

    Command Prompt On Serial Link?

It's as you thought - you press ctrl-c to kill the menu, then you'll see the prompt.

    Starting A Web Server

No idea. Never seen the point. You'd have to have a working connection from the gp2x to the internet first (if you haven't already), which usually requires a little more than just configuring a usb network, and then do something to redirect port 80 on your PCs ip to the gp2x ip. Going straight...

    Starting A Web Server

Get usb networking running (if you've got an F100 - if it's a F200 you're buggered), then browse to the gp2x's ip address. Files go on the nand somewhere (/usr/gp2x/www rings a bell, but it's been years since I last looked at this). If you create a sym link you can put the files on an sd...

    Emulation/interpreter Tv Out > 320x240?

TV out is always either 720x576 or 720x480, but because it's set to progressive and not interlaced you actually get usuable resolutions of 720x288 or 720x240. And then because most things are 320x240, they end up being scaled to 360x288 or 360x240 which is why they never look quite as good as...

    Open Source Game Engines

CACK will let you create basic 2d RPG type games (no boring fighting though), but it may be a bit too basic for what you need. The source is available if you want to hack other features in.

GP2X Starting Development On Gp2x, Help For A Super N000000b?

People always seem to get this wrong. You don't learn languages, you learn how to code (the same way you don't learn how to drive a Ford or how to drive a Peugeot etc, you learn how to drive a car). The benefit of choosing one language over another is that a simple language like Fenix will help...

    Physical Screen Dimensions (mm/inch)

Or if you want the simple way (without messing around with angles) - The screen ratio is 4:3, and as all school kids will tell you that means we've got the special 3-4-5 triangle so there's no need to complicate things with angles. Scaling things back down we get 3.5/5=0.7, so the sides are...

    Quake2

To quote my post when I released Quake2 'too slow to be playable'. If you can't get it working straight away, then you'll almost certainly spend more time trying to get it to work than you will playing it. Quake2's crap anyway. Go play something interesting like Quake1, Doom, or Duke instead...

    GP2X Developing A 2d Platformer

The whole SDL overhead thing is pretty much a myth as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, it has a bit of overhead compared to writing your own tiny lib for your own needs, but used correctly the overhead is minimal for 99% of C based projects.

    Do You Like The Name?

Did anyone really think that a huge Amiga fan like Craig would give it anything other than a girls name ;) I'm glad it's stayed Pandora. Had a horrible feeling it would end up as another random collection of letters and numbers.

    Apache Server

All webservers are fileservers and not control methods. It's server side scripting like PHP which gives you control, which is very possible on the GP2X. Was on the F100 anyway, don't know if the F200 still has PHP but I can't see why they'd remove it (but it's less important on the F200 as...

GP2X Does The Gp2x Tell Time?

It doesn't have a battery backed up clock, so no you can't use it as an alarm unless you plug it into the mains (and reset the time whenever you turn it on).

    Bolo?

According to wikipedia, Bolo was a BBC game that was ported to the Mac, so if the Mac version can't be emulated well then I'm sure the BBC version will play perfectly.

    F200 + Cradle Issues

USB joysticks only work with software that supports them, which isn't much.

    My Review Of The F200

The processor speed hasn't increased, many F100s could clock to 280 or above too. SDHC support is firmware, not hardware, and there have been F100 firmwares supporting SDHC for a very long time. So the two main reasons you mention here for getting an F200 don't actually apply.

    Games Vs System

Then write it yourself, because the best system to play a particular game on is very subjective. For example you think that a C64 is better than a Speccy, but only because that is probably what you're used to or what you were brought up on, but in my opinion I wouldn't ever consider playing a...

    Cradle Power Supply Tragedy

300mA isn't 3A, 3000mA is. If you're only using 300mA then you'll be ok for smaller things, but I don't know if you'll have much luck with harddrives and wireless joysticks. Of course you could have just missed a 0 out in your post, seeing as you missed all 3 of them out in your first post ;)
