    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

Excellent, thanks for the confirmation. There was no reason on the board it wouldn't do the center push facility; as it is confirmed from the above, and the Wiki on emulators for the GP2x, that it isn't needed, I won't be concerned! (spent most of the afternoon trying to resolve the issue!)...

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

Wires are just under 1mm thick, and flexible. Works fine. If emulators don't need center click, there is no issue? Can't work out why the function doesn't work though! Looking on the Wiki HERE it doesn't look like the center button is used at all - is this right, what is it useful for?

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

Ok guys - help needed please! Got the d-pad working beautifully, tested in T-mode lovely! The problem is that the center click doesn't work. I've got a GP2x-F100( B ) model, and have checked and double checked to confirm the two pins responsible for center click, as marked by the purple arrow...

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

Good, it would be great to have some GP2x mods on my forum from various members! I just figured that we aren't relocating the joystick and don't want it anyway, so no point desoldering it off the board, after all, removing it that way is not easy, and as the board is multi layer, it would be...

They will do the job fine, however you might find them a bit wide, so will certainly have to trim off what you can from them. If you get any problems with them, let me know!

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

Changed tactics - making this a video log guide for the project. It isn't a large project, and "being shown" is always easier to follow than lots of pics. Made first 4 minutes of video; taking up to the d-pad in and installed. Got the d-pad assembly working fine, frankly, it was a doddle to...

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

irefan - i'll make a deal with you - join my forum, be active in it and be a good beneficial member to have around; and also start a topic there with your GP2x mod thread so you can post your work in progress onto (and copy the build thread here too of course), and i'll not only give you a free...

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

Excellent! Small upload at the moment: Used a smallish pair of snippers to snip off the pins off the joystick to release it from the board. No point desoldering the joystick, we don't need it, the board is multi layer and if you damage the pins you can damage the workings of the joystick on...

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

I will try to keep it so, if there are any questions along the way, please ask. Update: Easy to remove the electrical tape to reveal the protected screen underneath. Here's what the front looks like now - after the paint job.

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

Good - if you don't - guess what - i'll have a spare joystick (cut to the base on the contacts) and joystick cap from this project if anyone needs them - both fine and working - if you need one let me know.

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

I'm hoping the d-pad implementation in this project will be straight forward enough for anyone to follow. Case front is looking georgeous at the moment, the metallic black paint looks nice - just applied the metallic spray paint sealer to the case. Will need a day or two to dry so it can be...

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

Spray painted the buttons, case front and d-pad, metallic black - looks lovely! Up to that stage (got to wait for it to dry, etc): Put a piece of acetate in the middle of the screen so easier to remove the electrical tape after painting; stuck down some electrical tape, then using a sharp...

    Bacteria's Gp2X Mod - Project 1

As promised, this is the first of two GP2x projects, which will be catalogued here. This project takes a fully working GP2x, will implement a d-pad, the case will be resprayed, the back of the case will be modded to take a li-ion cell and recharge jack. This project will be sold, or at least...

Bacteria's Project - Finished - Snes Bluetooth Controller

Thanks! Ravnos - the controller you mention looks a reasonable size; so may be possible; it all depends on the space available and the space needed of course. If you follow the principles in my guide, you should be able to make your own controller adaptation. How about registering on my forum...

Bacteria's Project - Finished - Snes Bluetooth Controller

Yes guys, I have finished a new project - it was a commission job - to re-house a BGP100 bluetooth controller into a SNES controller. The buyer liked the bluetooth controller but not the buttons and control of the BGP100 - hence this project - the best of both worlds! The videos and worklogs...

Bacteria's Into64 Portable Handheld Console System

I have an Xbox Jourdy288 which I got cheaply at a car boot sale, although not even tested it to see if it works! I intend to mod one in the future, will need to do a lot of research first though. Sure, I don't see why you can't include one inside a television, as long as there is plenty of space...

Indeed, this is original hardware, not emulation. Therefore, handles all games as intended. The "Z" button is underneath the system where the index finger rests next to, so in the right position. I didn't spray paint this button, left it grey with black "Z" on it, for effect. Just under 3...

    Pandora Price In The Uk

That's a large price difference, allowing for currency conversion, the US price is about 25% cheaper. No logic in that, surely? Anyway, for that money, you can buy a nice netbook and have greater functionality. I'm not getting the Pandora when it comes out, too expensive vs benefits vs alternatives.
