    The Mighty Oldschool Ti83

I've been wanting to get back into coding (my last *major* project was in Blitz Basic on my Amiga!) A few years back I got some books on C - I have to admit, I found it very difficult to get my head round. Didn't get too far past 'Hello World!' But last few weeks, I've just started learning...

    Fat File System Licensing?

That was the next option on my list... the unnecessary difficulty of formatting a drive using a *microsoft* file system on a *microsoft* operating system took me by surprise! ;-)

    Fat File System Licensing?

@lulzfish I may have used the word 'brick' a bit over emotionally! (It has really annoyed me) It left it unrecognised except for 'you must format this!' as NTFS or... NTFS! woohoo! or 'exfat' if you want no machine on the whole bloody planet to read your drive. Using DOS prompt, it took 18...

    Fat File System Licensing?

Don't tell me this after I have spent ages fighting with bloody vista to format an external 1TB drive in FAT32 so it can be read by my (hopefully future) pandora and PS3. Since XP, microsoft want you to use NTFS, probably because they can charge bigger licensing fees for it. So FAT32 is...

So... Anyone Remember The Pandora From Sinclair?

I remember the (sinclair) pandora and lusting after one during my childhood. Only from the tantilising rumours in 'Your Sinclair' and 'Sinclair User'! Evil Alan Sugar destroyed it though. Hopefully soon my dream of a pocket spectrum with full keyboard and gaming controls will be a reality...

Post Here When Your Refund Clears

No refund yet... Stupid Bank of Scotland decided to change my Visa to a Mastercard in the intervening weeks, so it'll take longer for me to get it (They have assured me I actually will get the money). That, coupled with the fact that I'm going to have to wait till the credit card payment site...

    This Is Insane.

The falling dollar is nothing compared to the pound. It is in free fall at the moment. I hope that doesn't cause manufacturing or supply issues. :-(

    This Is Insane.

Retro is fantastic, but if I was to see a game like 'Oblivion' or 'Super Mario Galaxy' the same day I saw 'Knight Lore' on the spectrum back in 1984... It would have blown my mind clear out of my head!

    This Is Insane.

I think that is why I'm here... It is such a unique opportunity to be part of something so ground breaking. But it is still a gamble... ;-) I don't post often, but I have been round here a good few years, and have bought stuff from gbax, so I know the community is strong and far more...

    This Is Insane.

Even the most faithful have their dark moments! I'm not too much of a noob... I have an Issue one Spectrum, which managed to make it through the Sinclair ordering system, and I pre ordered an Amiga 1200 for £500 when I was a student... this just feels a little bit madder!

    This Is Insane.

When was the last time you preordered a game that cost £200, had no release date, and was from a company for whom it was their first game, and was not going to be in any shops... ;-) Even Street Fighter and Doom on the SNES where not as scary as that!

    This Is Insane.

Let me get this straight in my head. Three thousand, eight hundred people have paid the full price of two hundred great british quid for a console that does not exist, except for a few renders, a few websites, a few pictures of circuit boards, a few blurry videos and a whole lot of hope and...

    Newsletter Received.

I thought I was on Craigx's list... I got the email about the Wiz, but not about the pandora. I take it it must be a different list? I also did the great north run sponsor thing... I thought that got you on 'the list' (not that that was the reason for doing it!!!) Ah well... probably have to...

Excellent news - Thank you GPH! Sale!

Gph Wiz Now Official & Available For Pre-order

I think the dpads look well designed... It is of course difficult to tell without holding the thing, but the raised lips look good as pseudo buttons. The dpad on the PSP is used as function 'buttons' on many games, and that is an awful pad. It does give it an aesthetically pleasing look...

Gph Wiz Now Official & Available For Pre-order

Okay, lurking for ages coveting a pandora, and suddenly an email from craigx and this is here. Please stop presenting me with shiny goods for me to purchase, you bad people. The clincher for this would be, is it b/c to the gp2x? - doesn't look like it... :-(. Porting should be easy, I suppose...
