    Painfully slow WIFI

unfortunatly, the chipset in the WNA1100 doesnt seem to have any open source drivers available. so there is no "easy" way to get it working on the pandora. In theory, it should be possible with the ndiswrapper, but as far as i know, it is not available on the pandora at this present day. To my...

Assigning that new task manager to the Pandora button?

you could try using a command like wmctrl to give it focus. http://linux.die.net/man/1/wmctrl im not sure if we have it on the pandy, ill check later, but its probably relatively easy to install if its missing.

Assigning that new task manager to the Pandora button?

the pandora button is handled via a script in /usr/pandora/scripts iirc. i can only tell from memory, but i think its something like op_menu. edit that and you can achieve what you want.

    Slow WiFi & Nub Problem

you need quite a bit of luck to get a router that like the pandy internal wifi as far as i can tell. hell, even with 2 identical router, 1 worked at 400kb/sec other couldnt even get 50 ><. heres my little story. I have 2 dir-815, long story short, i bought a new one thinking i had lost my...

    Shoulder Buttons as Hotkeys?

as for using the shoulder button as hotkey, depending on the player its possible. for Audacious its in plugin under global hotkey (or something like that). now one issue, audacious wont let you map modifier key (alt, shift, ctrl etc) directly as an hotkey since it expect you to press another key...

    Pandora Compilers in a PND?

why not use the same concept as extendutils (mount an union type filesystem, but the empty one being in appdata of your pnd). i know the issue there is with having one prefilled, so i 100% agree with having a pnd self containing all the basics (and some more advanced) libs. but offering the...

Which USB WiFi adapters work with the Pandora?

speed and stability wise, it work perfectly as far as i can tell (i get 4-5mb sec transfer over a 802.11n network). network manager seem to work fine for me as well now, but it bugged a bit the first time i tryed it, so who knows (i reflashed since then, might had been an issue fixed in an...

Which USB WiFi adapters work with the Pandora?

the wifi adapter you mentioned use the chipset RTL8188SU. which is available for linux, but i dont think its included in the default distro. it will work on the pandora, if you compile the kernel module and load it up (in theory, in practice... well, you never know till someone try it). you...

    usb wifi

well, since your compiling for the pandora, i find it much easier to do it directly on the pandora. using extend util to "add" the space you may need to the nand using your sd as storage.

    usb wifi

its normal since the WUSB100 use the RT2870 driver, not the RT3572. i can try to compile the driver for you, but without having an actual stick with that chipset, i have no way to test it out. tho if you are confortable with linux, compile it yourself, the sources are available here...

    usb wifi

its not that hard to get most stick working on the pandora (so long as there are opensource drivers available), but its a bit harder to get someone else to do it for ya if said person dont have the same stick as you do (its quite a hassle to go back and forth with someone else just to try the...

    Difficulty executing PND's

pnd arent binaries, they are a self contained filesystem so to speak. with some extra files appended to it. they cant just be ran, they need to be mounted, merged with their appdata, then ran. Thats what pnd_run do. now how to do it yourself, is a bit complicated, since pnd dont have a mime...

    Difficulty executing PND's

http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=PND_utils pnd_utils will configure the mime and associations required to run the pnd directly by double clicking them in the filemanager (tho the install seem a bit buggy right now, if your pnd dont have a pandora icon, reinstall it). if you want...
