Yeah, it could probably be scaled down to work... or at least the engine could be used to create a game that runs on the craiginator. It is pretty hardware efficient by its own, just the artwork and some of the shaders are not.
But it depends of how fast the GPU in the craiginator actually is...

would give it additional brand name recognition and all the polish that Ubuntu has.
In addition all you would have to do to get a really nice download system is add a additional repository to the apt-get system...
Nothing beats flaming a bit :)

No offense, but I really hope CraigiX isn't listening to most of those design ideas around here.
Those button overloaded designs which seem to have the input controllers placed almost at random and with no real though about ergonomy nor overall design at all totally suck (monkey balls).
Maybe you should reconsider including Bluethooth as it would not only enable better phone connectivity but also the option to use Wii controllers with the new console, which would be pretty cool :)

All the design ideas I have seen so far feature analog sticks on the side of the screen, which IMHO is quite bad as the screen is already a widescreen one and the console shouldn't be too long.
So what about having those two analogs *below* the screen, in a fashion similar to how those two...
199pound (e.g. ~299euro) would be very hard on the limit of what I would be willing to pay. In other words: something like a bad dpad or some other error and it is a no go.
It would help though if the touchscreen was good enough to act as a digital scetch-pad (e.g. several levels of pressure...
