Scaled to 640x480 (looks better than 800x640). Most important thing is that the game runs fast and smooth as I want the gameplay to be more fast-paced than the original Arora Rift.
Thanks, I'm sticking to 32-bit color mode, as I want to achieve nice looking gradient opacity on my explosions and other effects that has a lot of glow to them. The game is running pretty smooth now on the Pandora after some optimization.
For optimal performance I've stuck to the native Caanoo resolution of 320x240, and scaled up to 800x480 for fullscreen. This looks still pretty good, though I might reconsider going for the native Pandora resolution. Using so many high resolution sprites that Arora Rift uses in 32-bit color...
Yes, you are right. I will take that into consideration. I applied for a upload account on apps.openpandora.org some months ago, but haven't had it accepted yet.
I have my own distribution site at www.blackcurtainstudio.com with PayPal buttons, so it's perfectly safe and quick. You can also get the old Arora Rift from there.
The original Arora Rift in 8-bit, previously released for the Caanoo, has now received a 32-bit graphics conversion for the Pandora!

These news sounds pretty unofficial to me as you are simply quoting a very vague and brief chat history from someone that's not very strong in the English language. Could be a simple misinterpretation.
The new "Arora Rift 32X" is on it's way - an extended version with 32-bit graphics for Pandora, which greatly improves the sprite detail from the old 8-bit. Some sprites will be refurbished. A 16X-version for Caanoo is also planed.
What's so useless about it? Just run the sh-file and you are good to play. Doesn't get much more simple than that. I will make a pnd later. I didn't know how to at the time.

This game is called Skylark and is basically a RPG platformer with lots of monsters and lots of items and stats advancement. Skylark came 6th in the RIOT digital competition -a good result which gave many people the chance to try out the demo.
