    "Pandora consoles banned from ebay"

I promised myself I'd pull that sig at the first complaint, so away it goes! (I just thought that Tom & Jerry scene was too hilariously close to Kim Kaphwan's super to pass up making into a gif) Not Your Personal Army :) Given the continued listing of other more limited products (which are...

    "Pandora consoles banned from ebay"

Huh. Look at all those Wiz and Caanoo handhelds Ebay has for sale...

    Official fan artwork

The boots / legwarmers originally had pockets on the sides for oversized SD cards, but that made them look kind of ugly. If you like, they're still there, but more low-profile and tucked further around the side, so you can't see them in this picture :)

    Official fan artwork

Rework of an earlier -Tan I drew. (I needed a character pic for an art workshop and couldn't think of anything else at the time)

    What are you developing?

Looks pretty cool, I'll certainly try it out when it's available. Funny I was only just talking about LuaPlayer... Jameter could very nearly be used as a drop-in replacement! (Maybe the odd search/replace for function names, etc...)

    What are you developing?

I probably won't be starting development until my Pandora actually arrives (I intend to program straight on the Pandora on the train to work!), but I plan to port over my little PSP games: Electris, a falling block puzzle game Reactor, a circular variation on breakout/bubble games (designed for...

    75% Off Quake At Steam

There's a perfectly straightforward reason for this. The original Quake (and Quake II?) stored the music as audio tracks on the CD, and each level just played a particular CD track. You could drop in your own audio CD and it would play that music instead. (Likewise, you can stick the Quake disc...

    Pandora Intro Animation

You're welcome to use either of those for whatever. If anyone wants them, you'd better save a local copy... they've lasted on Tinypic this long, but that's no guarantee they'll stay up indefinitely. The images could stand to be improved; the logo isn't antialiased, and the end-points of the box...

"Red Panda" is an excellent name for a Pandora-specific Firefox fork. Though to make it more product-namey, I'd take out the space and call it Redpanda. (Maybe RedPanda, but camel case in product names is problematic) (Fun fact: this post nearly made reference to "moron case", thanks to the...

    Pandora Should Move To Android

Android compatibility layer: awesome. Android primary OS: no thanks.

    I Want One

Ooh, he's going to regret including that. :) I think a more accurate phrasing would have been "if you don't preorder from batch 2 it's guaranteed you won't receive your Pandora before Christmas"... OpenPandora: not the fastest production team in the world, but expert at playing QWOP :D

    Pandora-Tan Character Art

Seeing as this thread has been dragged from the grave, I thought I'd revisit my earlier ideas. I did the one on the left first. I wasn't happy with the boots, and using the analog nubs as 'earmuffs' seemed to undersell a major feature, so I thought it needed revision. (The pink glove tips...

    Op: You Did Well!

I got my Pandora ages ago! Here's an unboxing photo

Coders, Good Work So Far But One Tiny Request..

These could be standardised in pxml I suppose, but it's entirely up to the developer as to how the source would be provided, and they'd both require opening the browser. Given that's what the"view documentation" feature does, it would probably be more sensible to just include those links in the...

Coders, Good Work So Far But One Tiny Request..

Right, well... thanks for preemptively implementing my suggestion then! :) I've got lots of other great ideas -- maybe the Pandora could be made to run this "lee-nux" operating system that's all the rage these days...

Coders, Good Work So Far But One Tiny Request..

PNDs are supposed to come with a readme/documentation contained inside, aren't they? As Prometheus noted, they get dumped in a "docs" folder in XFCE (which sounds less than ideal to me). Minimenu could deal with it even better, I think; in the PND-appdata thread there's a lot of talk of a...

    I Got It!

The fact that it's green and not white may be a good sign. It might be a stuck sub-pixel, and possibly fixable. There's apparently a bunch of stuff you can try, from rubbing & tapping the pixel (that may be more or less effective on a touchscreen, I don't know), to flashing the pixels rapidly...

Led Beneath Keys Or Nubs? Or Will That Be To Hard?

You're not going to be able to backlight the letters on the keys without a new keymat. But if you're just looking for some illuminated bling on your Pandora, you might be able to light up the key frames a bit like this (ignoring the lit labels): Position some LEDs around the edge of the...

Pandora Owners: Any Other Hardware Issues?

Wild conjecture on my part: I'm assuming the hinge mechanism is sprung somehow to help it lock open and shut, and that's what ED is referring to; but having played around with an old Macbook at work, I wonder if maybe the side with the hall-effect magnet is holding the lid shut tighter than the...

    Programs From The Ångström Repo

I'm no expert on these things... but as the Pandora can boot an OS straight from the SD card, why not just set up an SD-boot Angstrom system using regular package management? Then you shouldn't have any cross-filesystem concerns. Yes, I know SD will be slower than NAND, but if you're going to...
