GCW Zero - Open Source Gaming Handheld

Unless you're planning to test the buttons, analogue, screen, wifi, sd slot, tv output, headphones etc on every single console then all you really need is for the factory to send you 1 final product for you to test and then give them the OK to ship the rest if everything's fine.

Declaring as a gift means nothing in the UK, you will be charged if the value of the item is more than £15. For handheld consoles into the UK the duty is 0% but the VAT is 20%, and then you have to pay £8.30 handling fee too. So if you write a value of $60 on the front then we will have to pay...

Win a K1 reverse engineered GBA

There is a non-clamshell version on its way but it's not in an old GBA shell, it's more akin the to the Gemei A330 shell. If memory serves it also has a user replaceable rechargeable battery. I've no idea when it'll be ready though, it's still in design phases. I'm nothing to do with design or...

I bought one of these from Gamestation about 2 years ago for £15. It didn't come with any games so I kinda just put it away and forgot about it. Went into my local Playtime yesterday and they had a bunch of carts, so I bought Turfmasters and Metal Slug for £5 each. Turfmasters is very...

My 1GB version shipped from lightake.com on Friday so hopefully it'll arrive in about 10-14 days time. I'll do a little video with pads and emulators when it arrives, assuming someone doesn't beat me to it.

Could anyone who's bought one of these please test it with a tv or monitor that isn't 1080p? I'm specifically interested to see if the scaling works properly at 1680x1050 and 1440x900 - but any resolution other than 1920x1080 would be great. Cheers!

Agreed, and that semi-translucent end bit really sets it off. I hate to say it but that was probably what swayed me to grabbing one and giving it a try. I have a problem!

it's cool, i'm probably overly defensive about it because i've been somewhat involved with it since the beginning. i understand that there are other solutions out there, but i should point out that although there have been many clones in existance in the past, they have all been emulators...

Because a DS doesn't have multiplayer or TV output and is nowhere near as cool as a reverse engineered GBA. Plus here in the UK at least a new DS lite is significantly more expensive. Listen I'm not here trying to sell it to you, I'm here for the most part to tell you that it exists and give the...
