I Got Gpsp (gba) Running With Sound!

To be fair, scaling looks much worse IMHO when applied to 2D displays than the 3D video you present. Having said that, I don't actually have a huge problem with the display of gpSP scaled aspect-correct or distorted personally. Try it and see. I could be wrong, but I think the scaling during...

Experimental Acorn Bbc Model B Emulator.

I *did* wonder from your download url ;) I'm only reading and posting from my mobile phone at the moment, so didn't investigate further. I guess my question is now: what's the direction you're looking to take from here? I'd gladly work with you or help towards improving the current state of...

    Just A Thought

No. For one reason, the games would be compiled for the x86 architecture which wouldn't work on the GP2X, as it uses the ARM architecture. WINE provides an implementation of the Windows API - nothing more... From the WINE FAQ:

I Got Gpsp (gba) Running With Sound!

I was playing with the scaling a few days ago (I too had been looking at this port a few weeks ago). zodttd: SetVideoMode can be called more than once if you're using paeryn's SDL lib. I've compiled up my latest noodlings here (with source)...

I Got Gpsp (gba) Running With Sound!

To be fair, the PSP version uses a dynarec, and clocks the PSP to 333MHz. Since zodttd has only just got going with GP2X-specifics, it's unlikely that we'd see such performance in the near future, IMHO.

I Got Gpsp (gba) Running With Sound!

The PSP original uses Triangle to move to frameskip/push right for menu mode. I don't see why the GP2X's controls should be any different from that (i.e. use Y). It works well, IMHO.

Gp2x Master Volume Control Released By Md81544

It can't stop programs from changing the volume to whatever they like - if they don't behave as you want them to, you should ask the author. As for the system volume being left at the level set by a given program... you could get around this by using md81544's util, yes. You could create a...

Gp2x Master Volume Control Released By Md81544

Well, clearly setting volume to 0 will do the job. I guess you could have a script like this (untested): #!/bin/sh /mnt/sd/Util/master_vol.gpu 0 Which you could run before doing anything.

Gp2x Master Volume Control Released By Md81544

MD81544 has just released his GP2X Master Volume Control utility. Source is available, and he has scripts to go with it to operate with autorun too. Very handy for setting the volume when launching things that don't provide any control of their own, or just to have a default that's more to...

GP2X Setting Master Volume On Gp2x

You need to do something like this (well, it's what I do, based on rlyeh's example from a while ago): void gp2x_set_volume(int leftVolume, int rightVolume) { unsigned long soundDev = open("/dev/mixer", O_RDWR); if (soundDev) { int vol...

    Criticalbeeb 0.1.0 Released

Right... I'll try to find time, then. Things are a bit mental at the moment though, as I'm moving house next week, and considering changing jobs. I'll try to fit in a bit of tinkering time - there's a lovely new virtual keyboard that rooster has provided, and I've got most of the way through...

It's easiest to have discussion in response to a news post in that news post's thread I think, for a few reasons: When the news hits the front page, the comments link leads to that topic - it's the first port of call. The news poster is auto-subscribed to that topic, so they are notified of...

    Uae4all Gp2x V0.6.4

Well, Project X (Special Edition - ministry crack) works for me. Emu Bias full CPU, sound off until the game starts, then you can switch it on. Plays quite nicely, I thought. EDIT: that's with 0.6.5 (coming soon...), but the core's the same, so should work fine with 0.6.4
