the developer posted on this very forum though that with the optimizations he is adding in the future we can be looking at double the speed at the very least, if that's not reason to be hopeful I don't know what is.
eh? I thought Dreamcast emulation was certain for the pandora? weren't there some videos of it running at playable speeds already?

confirmed: "new year" can only be used when talking about a single point in time and not used to reference the general beginning of the year.
nice try troll. fail.
this is why i'm kinda glad i'm far back in the 4,000 queue, by the time mine gets produced any kinks found in production during the 4,000 run should prolly be fixed by the time mine gets done, and lots of software will have been released / tested etc by then :)
uh oh. this is bad. quick, someone screenshot this guys post before he's carted off in the back of a van and never seen again.
but seriously, if there is a fault like this that can't be fixed, so much for those "2 years in development" nubs?
awesome vid
PSX.
Dreamcast.
N64.
GBA.
in one handheld?
I'll probably never be able to decide which game I want to play first and never actually end up using the thing!
oh now THAT'S interesting.. I think I might actually spring for a screen only one then.. is the link at the start of this thread the exact one I want for the pandora? it's the same screen exactly right?
wow those invisible shield things look awesome.. i'm going to go around my house applying invisible shields to everything now to keep them perfect ^_^
but won't the one for the archos screen which you guys bought for the pandora be a different shape? I mean I know the screen is the same but...
even if you bind the keys it still won't give you a proper D-pad just 4 buttons spaced out quite a distance from eachother (compared to a dpad) plus I doubt it will be comfortable to even hold and play games like that, it'd be too heavy/big..you'd be better off with a USB pad.
it's not portable ( can't fit in your pocket ) and doesn't have gaming controls, it's basically just a laptop.. why would you be considering the pandora with a laptop?
looks pretty awesome but kind of saddening to hear it's @ 850mhz with no sound, although I suppose since it's not using any frameskip, if we have like frameskip 1 or 2 (which is not noticable at all?) then we could have sound?
so is this "the" n64 emulator for the pandora, or is this another one being developed? I thought some guy called ari64 or something like that was working on it?
