    Gp2x Dead?

But in what way is everyone considering a system "taking off"? Of course that could mean a ton of retail games becoming available, but I think that some people are not understanding the GP2X standpoint. If some retail games come out from some developers, cool. BUT, this handheld is meant for...

    Gp2x Dead?

BUT, patented by who? Because it seems to me that the design (for the most part) has been used by Nintendo, Sega, NEC, Nokia, and a few others. Did they all pay some kind of royalty to the original patentee for use in the design? And besides, all of these "10,000 games in one" devices I have...

    Gp2x Dead?

Wow, this thread got a whole lot of posts in a short amount of time :) Anyway, I can agree with a little, but disagree with most. Let me start with what I do agree with. The build quality of the device is somewhat low, yes. I have owned a few GP2X systems, and all have exhibited some bubbles in...

    Frodo V0.9.8

Tested and works good...except for the TV out. While it DOES work (it did not work in the previous version) it is clipped off for a few inches of the bottom of the screen. Maybe because it is outputting display as PAL and I am on NTSC? Dunno. It's almost there for me tho...

    Gngeo V0.6.12c (beta!)

I know why this is. It is because your current roms have the graphic files replaced with dummy files...to lessen the size of the rom. When you are trying to re-create your gfx dumps, you are essentially dumping nothing. Solution? Redownload full roms. It sucks I know, but this is what my problem...

    Frodo V0.9.8

The author was kind enough to inform me that Frodo (C64 GP2X port) has been updated to fix the TV out issue. I have not tested it yet, but will shortly! http://gp2x.org/gp2x/frodo/

    Hu6280 Black Screen

I would imagine many of those are bad dumps as well. Goodset eh? Get the nointro set.

    Hu6280 Now Has Cdrom Support!

Ok, unofficial copyright! :) If I ever get a band together, it will be "The Meat Bugs". Maybe my first tune will be "Hu Are You". It can go something like this: "I woke up at gp32x dot com with a GP2X in my face" "It said you can go sleep at home tonight if you can stop play-ing that game"...

I Got Duracell 2500mah 4-pack For Dirt Cheap..

Man, what a lucky day. I am a manager of a CVS Pharmacy. I opened the store today and was cleaning up around the checkout area when I noticed a pack of Duracell 2500mah rechargables hanging behind some Energizer rechargables by the photo counter. I figured that was odd, since I do not recall us...

    Hu6280 Now Has Cdrom Support!

Indeed. Sounds kind of funny actually. "Meat Bug". That can be a great username! Haha... You'd figure if a game were emulated, then that is it. Maybe graphic glitches/sound glitches. Maybe even a lockup. But that is one odd as hell bug!

Yes, I'm curious too. Thanks Vobbo!

    Hu6280 Now Has Cdrom Support!

Yep, like I said earlier, it doesn't happen with any other games I have tried...and I can confirm it happens (hucard version) as it has been tested on two separate GP2X units. Oh well, I'll wait to see if Vobbo has a fix. v1.02 does not have this problem, so I can still play them.

Gp2x Featured In Stuff Magazine (uk)

I would take a guess that the GP2X sales are in the 5000 range somewhere...maybe more. All I know is that when I ordered the unit originally, my serial number was something like 0117...now its like 4944 or something to that effect. These are unit numbers, no?

    In2x V0.2a Released

BIG improvement! Beauty and the Beast still does not work, but I was able to load Donkey Kong without effort. Sounds and looks nice! With a little tweaking and repair of compatibility issues, this emulator is going to be another big one. Excellent job man!

Is It Bricked, Or Is It Just My Skin?

Yep, reflash and be careful installing very large skins.

    Hu6280 Now Has Cdrom Support!

Welp, I think I can personally confirm this Bonk bug. I own two MK2 units, and decided to try it on the other (new..stored for safe keeping) unit today. Yep, same thing. Bonk loves to run left (running away?) after eating the meat! At least now I know it is not some odd hardware issue for sure...

    Alexkidd2x V0.4 Available :)

Since I have two GP2X's (both MK2) I decided to open my "safe keeping" GP2X just to test this. Yep, still the same. I would say it's a bug indeed (the system problem I spoke of previously that is).

    Hu6280 Now Has Cdrom Support!

Keep tapping the "bite" button. No need to push up. Anyway, I took Sam's advise and left a feedback on Vobbo's site. Hopefully he can help. Thanks!

    Hu6280 Now Has Cdrom Support!

Well, some wierdness did happen after v1.02 (like Tatsujin locking up in v1.03 after collecting the first power-up) so I think I'll hang on to v1.02 just for safe keeping :) Some of the optimizations done after this version may have broken/caused bugs in some games...but I'm not the programmer...

    Hu6280 Now Has Cdrom Support!

Well, waddaya know. It works FINE in v1.02. I knew I wasn't going crazy or having hardware issues! I can recreate it every time in Bonk 1. When I get to the second level and bonk that pink guy to get the "big meat", right after consuming it and becoming invincible is when it happens.... the...
