Release Robocode - a programming tank combat game

When I try "gacutil /i libs/jni4net.n.l32.m26-0.8.7.0.dll" I get an error: Failure adding assembly to the cache: gac directories could not be created, possibly permission issues. Am I trying the wrong command?

Release Robocode - a programming tank combat game

I've tried this approach, but without much success. The .NET plugin complains it cannot load a library (jni4net.n.132.m26-0.8.7.0.dll) which doesn't even exist. Symlinking similarly named dlls (like jni4net.n.w32.v20-0.8.7.0.dll) to that name didn't help. Is there a reason why .NET libraries...

Anyone interested in working on a project with me?

There's nothing to post aside from the photo (don't mind the red frame, it was meant for another topic). I took a ready-made antenna from an old laptop, there is an option to make one yourself from scratch. The end result depends on your DIY and soldering skills which aren't really improved by...

Emulator brings x86 Linux apps to ARM devices

Just to make it clear: exagear interpreter itself is a closed-source proprietary software, and the possible community contribution to it is limited. Also, exagear is made to be run on ubuntu (and maybe debian, but I'm not sure), and it is a community effort to run it on SuperZaxxon. Other than...

Release Robocode - a programming tank combat game

It's not java which is exploited, but rather browsers with java plugins. If there was an option to install a browser plugin which executes bash statements on click (rm -fr / and the like), would that make bash unsafe? So, if you put java in a corner of your hard disk and only set JAVA_HOME and...

Release Robocode - a programming tank combat game

Why, is it the size? AFAIK, java doesn't require a complicated setup process, JRE and JDK can be installed anywhere, and all you have to do is to set JAVA_HOME and add JAVA_HOME/bin to your path.

    C/C++ Development tools v2

I don't think we have tmux in the firmware. This is important for me as I don't want my PND to have dependencies.

Release Robocode - a programming tank combat game

Technically, a .class file should be sufficient, which kind of keeps your source secret. Depending on the number of tanks, we could organize some sort of tournament, with a duel between the two strongest tanks fighting for the first place. If we get bored with plain old tournament, we might...

Anyone interested in working on a project with me?

I'm no EMC engineer, but I can confirm that a piece of copper works much better in my pandora than the default PCB-printed antenna. There are no miracles, but I got several extra meters of coverage for very little fuss, and the solution is lean (meaning that nothing sticks out of the back of the...

    C/C++ Development tools v2

I have a small announcement to make. The next version of cdevtools will be using screen as the UI program. It will be started in detached mode when no X session is available, and maybe in other cases too. I still haven't decided on all the features (perhaps it's worth the trouble to lock the...

Release Robocode - a programming tank combat game

Hi there, I have packaged robocode game this weekend. The idea is to program a battle tank in Java using this API, and make it fight against other robots. There is a limited amount of time and power your robot can spend on actions like moving, firing or scanning the battlefield with the radar...

    Sudden password problems

When pandora wizard runs on the first boot, it will as you for username and password, and you will use those to login if you opt out of automatic login at start-up. The wizard will also set a random root password which you're not supposed to ever know. When you need to perform an administrative...

wifi driver + kernel updated - please test

I'm pretty sure that increasing the rate alone helped a lot. Might have been still related to power saving though, since 1Mb/s is not enough to go above the PS threshold, which in turn results in weak signal, keeping the rate at 1 Mb/s forever.

wifi driver + kernel updated - please test

I do pretty much the same, though I use g_ether driver and have a stable 480Mb/s connection via USB2 instead of a less stable 54 Mb/s wifi which is additionally busy with other traffic. This doesn't change a lot if all you use is a terminal, but most apps I work with have GUIs, so it's tempting...

wifi driver + kernel updated - please test

Why? Strong quotes already keep ':' intact.

wifi driver + kernel updated - please test

Shouldn't that be sudo su + command?
  17. dimag0g

wifi driver + kernel updated - please test

Another issue addressed by the command is the rate which seems to change randomly unless the wifi signal is really strong. Is it possible to tune the rate changing algorithm somehow so it doesn't pick 1Mb speed after a minor signal strength drop? This leave out a question which rate value is...

    Release T.O.R.C.S.

I'd say so, since porting often boils down to getting all dependencies right. I don't include any libs in cdevtools because I like to keep things small, and I won't switch to a newer compiler unless it is capable to build the kernel.

Screen not working at all. Broken cable?

Unless I misunderstand something, the boot screen shows up with default brightness level no matter what you do with hardware keys.

Screen not working at all. Broken cable?

Well, you could check connectivity of individual tracks on your cable to be sure.
