In case you are really interested, here's a calculator for you.

Don't remember, should be around 400-500 for 1A and around 900-1000 for 2A. TWL4030 datasheet should have the exact formula.

    It's the keyboard layout.

What sense does it make to have two combinations for these keys then?

    Freenet For Pandora/Pyra

Thanks for the info, I will update PND description. Did you have those problems with random numbers? If you read the thread you'll see users reporting that Freenet PND takes forever to start. Also, could you please tell what kind of Pandora you have (classic, rebirth or GHz)?

    Freenet For Pandora/Pyra

You'll have to install Java first, Freenet won't run at all without java. Install it from http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=java If you have problems with it, I suggest you contact the maintainer directly. Once you manage to run Java apps, try Freenet PND again. If...

Pandora as infrared universal remote control?

Line-in is protected by a decoupling capacitor. I have put anything between 0 - 2.8V on it and it's still alive. It is super-sensitive though - I put a signal from my IR receiver through 1:20 divider, and it still saturates: I'm not into CIR transmitters (yet), but it seems problematic to...

Pandora as infrared universal remote control?

How about not having to buy Arduino? My IR sensor is completely self-sufficient (powered by EXT port and feeding data to line-in of the same port). Portability is a feature people tend to underestimate. I imagine myself in an hotel with my pandora connected to TV set and showing my favorite...

alright... SO i decided to open up my old broken pandora

Yeah you should check for continuity, that's a legit way to confirm that the fuse fired. You should double-check everything before you decide to touch you PCB with the solder iron. Plugging in a 12V charger would indeed explain why the fuse tripped. I hope it happened before the excessive...

Well, I can't zoom into the picture at all (a link to JPG would be nice), but these actually do look like fuses. Pandra has fuses on both barrel jack ("F1", 2A) and mini-USB ("F2", 1.1A). You may have labels printed on the PCB for big components like these. Figuring out DC issues is usually...

Thanks, but I'm trying to receive the IR signal, not  send it.

    C# .NET Visual Studio Code

I don't understand your comment. Do you imply there is source code available? I didn't get that impression by reading https://code.visualstudio.com/License.

Pandora as infrared universal remote control?

I'm trying to make a CIR receiver for the Pandora. I hope to get some answers from StackExchange, but I figured I'd cross-post here.

    C# .NET Visual Studio Code

Ah, a great new code editor... Which way to the pandora / pyra version? Sorry, but I'm not going for this closed-source crap. I remember the excitement when Kylix came out, bringing the power RAD to linux for the first time. Sure it was buggy, but it could've become the lingua franca of...

That printer indeed is impressive! BTW, you can safely ask him to print a dozen, I bet you'll find customers easily.

Looks like camcoder is missing some codecs and thus cannot start. Do you have the codec pack installed?

    webcam recording

Could you please post the exact error you get, along with pndrun_camcoder.out file? PS. recording video with live perview never worked in camcoder. It is implemented (select the first entry in the menu, press 'v' when preview shows up), but it never worked on my system.
