The software driver for the card reader might be able to be modified to allow it to read the next generation cards. If that is possible this time around, you can bet that they or one of the devs will make that happen.
I don't typically trust much of anything on ebay unless I have good reason...
Love the blog. I know some of us come here and sift through all of the threads and comments to get our info, not everyone will want to do that. I used to follow the GP2X through the dcemu blog instead of coming here.
You guys should know better by now. They have always given us the best-case scenerio time tables from the beggining. We were actually supposed to have this by Christmas...of last year, when it was first announced. Then it was April/May; then October; then late November, early December; now...
That would be a sweet option for DS emulation when the time comes. Top screen on your TV and the bottom touchscreen is your main Pandora screen. Obviously there would have to be a different option for travelling but that would be a interesting idea to implement.
I wonder what a DS game would...
Interesting concept and would be neat, in theory, if Pandora actually had a custom HD case that the Pandora could slide onto and attach without a cable (think flip video except more seemless) but would probably be fairly impractical. I can't imagine needing more than the 64gb that it'll be...
Ditto. I like big screens for viewing. Pandora, for a device of that size, has a nice large screen. When it comes to laptops, I won't go below 14.1" and will probably get a 15.4" since they seem to be cheaper for the most part.
It depends on whether anyone decides to put good gaming controls on a UMPC. Until that happens, Pandora will stand alone as the only one.
A lot of people on here are talking like (or wishing that) ARM is going to take over x86 architecture for netbooks and UMPCs but frankly, I don't see it...
I think the power supply comes with it but don't quote me on that one.
There is no need for a cradle. All of the functionality is built into the Pandora. You won't have to cough up another $50 for this accessory like you did with the GP2X. The USB ports are fully functional and fully...
I've got a quick TV adaptor question that I'll piggyback on here. Since TVs are all 4:3 or 16:9 and the Pandora's screen is 5:3, is there any hardware built in that keep the correct aspect ratio or does it stretch or squeeze the image? S-Video seems to always distort the image in order to fill...
How's this look? I can toughen it up if it's too girly for everyone's taste.
I'd need a high resolution image of the Pandora logo to do more with that.
P.S. I didn't obtain permission to use the logo in this image so let me know if you want me to remove it.
Um, am I the only one who got PoisonedV's pun? The minus in -1 is a typo. The typo was on purpose, of course, because well, that was kind of the joke. Maybe I'm just thinking about this one a little too hard.
Did you just call me OpenPandora's puppet? Oh, the irony. The community should get a good kick out of that one.
We've already gone through the scam stuff before many times. It has been addressed as well as it's going to be. There is nothing new that anyone can bring up that wasn't...
I've warned them of this too already. Unfortunately, it sounds like there is little that they can do about it at the present. If their bank is forcing them to take 40% of the orders/money in through other means than credit cards then there are only three options.
1. Take the chance and help...
