Every 7 inch netbook I've seen has been large enough to have had a 9 inch screen so a real 7 inch netbook would be nice. Why use a z8700 in a device intended to run office and Internet? The z8500 would be fine for that and use less power/produce less heat.

Pushing the DPAD in two directions simultaneously is how I did it but it took multiple attempts as it would often register as one of the directions rather than diagonals. Also I did it in Xinput mode so can't tell you if it works in Direct Input mode.

I've moved Verizon SIMs from one approved device to another approved device a few times with no issues so unless they're keeping a list of approved imei numbers it should work.
Actually Verizon does use LTE for there 4G and will supposedly allow any 4G LTE data only devices on their network to comply with an agreement with the FCC but won't activate a SIM unless it's in an approved device.
It's possible that a SIM could be activated in an "approved" device then moved...
Same issue as with Cyanogenmod on nook HD+, goes to sleep and nothing can make it wake up other than holding the power for 30 sec to force shut down then starting the now powered off system. The equivalent of pulling the battery.
