Have you ever tried to use the Game Cube keyboard as a controller? I can't use it as a controller so a separate keyboard and controller is what I need.
My interest in a Pyra CPU in a keyboard is comparable to the Raspberry Pi running a NES emulator in a case that looks like a NES. Something...
That Game Cube keyboard is what I DON'T want. However a computer in a keyboard (Like my old TRS80 or a ZX spectrum) with a Pyra CPU board as its core would be nice.
I like that mod but would prefer the 7 inch screen to be 1280x800 (hopefully the driver board rathar than the GPU can scale it) as there are a few old games I can't play on the win without hooking up an external monitor because they're hard coded to a resolution of 1024x768.
@b_o_b I got the Win on Indiegogo and am getting Video crashes and best I can tell is I could order a repair kit and install it myself. I may have been able to do that as little as 10 years ago but not today so appear to be SOL.
My mother has a 10 inch windows netbook with 2gb of RAM and it handles MS Office including Outlook just fine. 8GB is not needed even on Windows for that.
A minimum bezel on the win like it looks like will be on the pocket would allow somewhere around a 5.8 inch screen. I have large hands and could handle thumb typing on the win but the pocket is to big for that.
Why couldn't the win have had 8GB of RAM?
I can't see needing that much memory on what is intended to be a high end netbook. It lacks the gaming controls to be for gaming plus lacks the graphics power at 1080p, the win can barely keep up at 720p. It also lacks the screen space to be useful for...
In some states in the US manufacturers are required to sell replacement parts including replacement non replaceable batteries if they want to sell in that state.
Apparently I'm a poster. I haven't preordered because life keeps throwing problems I need to use my money on but I hope to buy one or preorder in September.
I believe it's not the pain of losing a bunch of times that is enjoyable about playing on hard but winning against long odds. It's not the x times you lose you enjoy it's finally winning.
