    Amiga Emu

I've built this for my Beagle Board. No perceivable speed difference, but the enhancements are useful in other ways. Is this an upclocked Pandora that you're running on, Gnostic? Unfortunately, there are bugs. :( For instance, running Prince of Persia causes it to segfault, whereas the...

    Amiga Emu

Hey, nice! I'll have to grab that particular code base. Looks like someone else has already done some of the work I'm intending to do. :) I'd be interested in seeing what the 'benchmarks' say, as far as CPU speed. (grabs P-UAE source code)

I Need A Gadget To Tide Me Over Till The Pandora!

Get a Toptoy DS, and a DS if you don't have one already. The TTDS is obtainable for $8-13, and lets to have MicroSD cards in your slot 1 cartridge slot. There's nice homebrew games and emulators for the Nintendo DS that's enabled by this. The Nintendo DS is also going to continue to have...

    Best Usb-gamepad Under Linux

The Xbox 360 wired gamepad is great. I use it on the Mac, and my Linux machine. It's possible, and I think the drivers for it should be in the default kernel build for the Pandora.

    Kernel Interface

I agree about hoping that developers don't avoid the unique Pandora features. It's my perspective that for the most part, Pandora functionality can be duplicated using a USB joypad, such as the analog nubs. I had envisioned using my Beagle Board as a development and test platform for things...

    Kernel Interface

Awesome! I honestly hope that most developers will use the SDL libraries rather than tap directly into the Pandora's kernel interfaces like this. This would make it easier to just plug in a USB gamepad, or just port and develop on other Cortex-A8 based platforms like the Beagle Board.

Pandora Looking For A Few People To Get Prerelease Pandoras

In that case, I'm more than happy to help with that. I'd been building an Angstrom development environment, and have it running on my Beagle Board. One thing I'd been investigating was more optimal ARM compilers than mainline gcc, such as the codesourcery one which can provide boosts, such as...

Release Fullspeed Amiga Emulation On Pandora!

Good news for all of you pining after an AGA 68020 Amiga on the Pandora. http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?s=&am...st&p=669644

    Amiga Emu

I've just built E-UAE on my Beagle Board, with no optimization, no tuning, straight out of the box. I got it booted with the AGA chipset, and a 68020 core, as well as a hardfile and filesystem access to the Unix filesystem. SYSINFO tells me that the emulated Amiga's CPU is running at 88% of an...

Pandora Looking For A Few People To Get Prerelease Pandoras

Incidentally, I got my Beagle Board, and I'm working on getting E-UAE running on there. The Beagle Board is a pretty close analog to what we'll see on the Pandora, but it would be nice to have the stuff I'm doing integrated into the Pandora variant of Angstrom running on the second revision...

Got My Beagleboard For Bootstrapping ..

It liiiiiives. I have it running Angstrom, with the GIMP, Abiword, and an xterm on my screen. :) Has anyone already gotting a development environment bootstrapped for this board, oriented towards the Pandora? It looks like I -may- be able to self-host on Angstrom, but, wow, memory is tight if...

Got My Beagleboard For Bootstrapping ..

Sigh. Just ordered a $1.60 part, and had it sent via $30 next day air, so I can work on my Beagle Board this weekend. Couldn't find a IDC10 to DB9 in Chicago easily. Microcenter gave me a blank stare of incomprehension. :)

    Amiga Emu

If I can find a serial cable for my Beagle Board inside of Chicago -- (probably not, so I'll probably need to order it) -- I may be able to compile E-UAE under Angstrom. I don't think I should have any issues, unless there are x86-specific dependencies. I've seen a Mac port that works on...

What Gadgets You Own Are Going To Be Replaced By Pandora?

Interesting question. Day to day, to and from work, I carry: a) Work MacBook, running MacOS X 10.5 B) Hackintosh Acer Aspire One netbook, running MacOS X 10.5 c) iPhone Running around town, I carry either: a) iPhone -or- a) iPhone B) Hackintosh Acer Aspire One netbook, running MacOS X 10.5...

Pandora's Emulators - What Will Work And What Won't

I'll be working on porting the atari800 emulator to the Pandora. I have a Beagle Board now, so it should be a fairly trivial process. The interesting question is what sort of optimizations we can make handheld wise, for the Pandora. I wonder if we'll have a unified framework for SDL. i.e...

Got My Beagleboard For Bootstrapping ..

Just got my Beagle Board as well. Too bad it's not the latest upcoming revision with an actual working USB host port ... I'll hopefully be up and running with this, and I can start poking around at things like seeing how trivial it would be to adapt E-UAE to the ARM. But the first thing to...

    Amiga Emu

Realistically, we will have an A500 release based on the GP2X port. The GP2X is ARM-based, and so that release is quite optimized for ARM, and we can leverage that easily. With a few modifications for the Pandora's input mechanisms and the larger screen, we can have a very nice emulator with...
