Thought you guys would like a peek at my current workbench.
There's the Pandora board itself, the breakout board, and the screen. In the upper right corner is my encased Beagle Board. To the right is my Acer Aspire running MacOS X acting as a serial console to the Beagle Board and soon to...
Well, I now have my rev2 devboard sitting next to me in a box at my office, taunting me. But I've got my day job to do, so it'll have to wait until I get home. :)
That's exactly that they're doing, sending out 30 devboards. Remember, without the boards themselves, there's actually a limited amount that people can do and throwing more people wasn't going to resolve it. But now that the bottleneck is removed, they can bring more developers onboard.
A friend of mine is a huge Go fan, and asked me about Go. I enjoy Go myself, so I'll be porting this:
http://sdlgo.sourceforge.net/
Hopefully the instabilities that he mentions isn't too bad.
This leaves my list at:
* xu4 / Ultima 4 - ported to BB, waiting on Pandora hardware
* uqm / Star...
Virtually all the Pandoras sent out to developers are the 128MB model, as these were already produced. The 256MB model is reserved for special cases such as a kernel developer adding in support for 256MB of RAM.
He most definitely has a 128MB model, if he didn't request a 256MB model.
Mine is...
Just GIT'ed this.
300MB! God, we've gone a long way since the 0.99.2 kernel days when I started using Linux seriously.

Hacked xu4 sources and object files
This includes the object files and the executables, linked and built for Angstrom. Please don't take this version as authoritative or any such thing. It was a quick hack job to get it to compile, and display SDL on my Beagle...
Hm. Sure thing, I can drop the source code somewhere, though it's just the CVS version with a few fixes so that it compiles with the latest G++ stuff for the ARM. I'd rather talk to the developer if the project is still alive, and fix it at the root source so that we can just closely track the...
I'm waiting for my TopToy DS to replace my Supercard. Alas, it's on the slow boat from China, so it won't get here until after the Thanksgiving holidays.
Taking a look at the list, I'll tackle:Homeworld (excellent use of touchscreen, has a software renderer, will need mappings of function to different keys)
Battle of Wesnoth (excellent use of touchscreen)
Ur-Quan Masters (map to game controls)
I'll take a shot at porting these games to my Beagle...
Consider xu4/Ultima 4 done and ready for the Pandora more or less with a few hours of work. I ported it to my Beagle Board.
1024x768 framebuffer, x3 scaling, Scale2x, aspect ratio is off due to the monitor being widescreen.
Map the arrow keys to the D-pad on the Pandora, implement 2.5...
I have played Monkey Island on my DS, with ScummVM. Works really well. It's one of the apps that is made for the touch screen. :)
There looks to be pretty good emulators for the DS now. When I was playing with this a couple years ago, much of the emulators were primarily for the GBA. But...
