    Talks From A Assembly Company.

Well it's been 5 weeks now, is the conservative estimate of completion of the first 4000 done?

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

Yes please confirm in detail how un-certified 2.4ghz WiFi module is not covered by CE, because then it would show that I was in error, and I over paid to have my device that ran tests that covered CE testing at RF at 2.4ghz. Also it would prove this article wrong too.

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

In regards to the CE marking that was certified by the Notified Body, any changes done that impacts the RF radio, like a resistor change or PCB change (like it did in Pandora case.) It would be treated the same i.e. from that point on the certification from the Notified Body doesn't apply anymore.

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

BTW from http://www.cemarking.net/services/ce-jump-start/ If the Notified Body that certifies an device without knowing that it has a 2.4ghz radio on it, then the CE marking will be invalid.

They have Rev2,3,4,5 and now testing a Rev6 of the board.. Stone, na.. play-dough?

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

ED hope this clears this up from http://www.ce-mag.com/archive/02/Spring/cutler1.html So your required to use "Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive of 2000.", no if and or but.

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

Yes I remember you saying this before in this Post Seems like the Pandora team didn't tell the CE certification group that this gaming device has an un-certificated Radio module in it (which I have confirmed.) Then you need to ask them about Directive 99/5/EC Radio and telecommunications...

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

Just Semantics, when CE testing was done, you guys used another company to run these test correct? or do you happen to have the >$100,000 of RF testing hardware just laying around, and also happen to be accredited as a Notified Body by a Member State of the EU? For CE mark, you need...

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

You know it depends on the CE certification guys, it could be only 5 minutes to go over these changes, and with minimal testing. It's not like they have to start from scratch, just Pandora would have to part with a little money for the extra time the CE certification guys would have to do.

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

From what the Pandora team has posted to date, FCC was never done, just CE was done. Anything affecting the radio like the bad clock input caused by the PCB change should not have been used. And any type of fix for it would have to be CE re-certified. Also what is odd, in that blog post, So...

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

Well technically FCC is required for USA customers, the Pandora team is ignoring this law, it's simple as that. I've went though the process before and was hoping that the Pandora team could have my thoughts of the process. Because at one time the Pandora group was claiming it would do all the...

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

What you offered was worse than the ill-relevant substance posted earlier. Troll I I admit doesn't fit, maybe I should have use "Pandora loyal fanboy" instead, as that is likely the more accurate case. My apologies.

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

I call BS --> I love how you jumped in saying it was TX, but not RX, so go move along Troll. From the linked blog above, the reality is Rev4/5 boards should have be junked and never been used. Tacking on resistor to fix the signal clock to the WiFi is a good reason to have it re-certified.
  14. S

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

Well could have a direct affect it average TX output, i.e. due to the resistor causing a loss of many SDIO commands could prevent the WiFi module to never transmit continuous wireless frames. That affect alone does change the CE results results signal-wise (i.e. averaged TX output over x time.)
  15. S

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

That wouldn't make sense, i.e. in FCC when you RF certify a device, then do changes to the RF device that affects it after it's been certified, you then again do a re-certification.
  16. S

    Ce Certification Now Invalid?

I believe CE is similar enough to FCC, that a resistor change that directly affects the WiFi module would require it to be re-certified again. Is there any plan to do this?

I've read post about volunteers, I worry about volunteers staying power. I could see them doing a maybe 1-2 days, but not for days on end, but hopefully it will work out.

    Talks From A Assembly Company.

I'll mark my calendar in 5 weeks, even from the new information given by ED, I believe there is no way 4k units it's going to be done in that time-frame with the resources mentioned. Since you were so nice, I'll omit the expert name, though they did 20 million in Annual sales, and have 150 full...

    Talks From A Assembly Company.

I could be wrong, but I thought most of Pandora team had day jobs? It's all about man hours, if they got them (then their set,) but my question would be is where/who is the man hours coming from?
