    Let's Make Our Own Fps!

There's a BIG difference between an x86->x64 recompilation and an x86->ARM recompilation. For example, if there's any x86 assembly (unlikely), it'll work fine when compiled for x64, but will fail for ARM. There's practically no way to say how easy a port will be until it's finished (or until...

    Let's Make Our Own FPS!

As I said in the topic on GP32X, it seems like there's an OpenGLES 2.0 render system for Ogre. Once I get my Pandora, I'll see if I can get it running. I doubt I've got the code-fu to fix any implementation issues, but I'm confident that I can at least take what they've got and get it running...

    Let's Make Our Own Fps!

Apparently they were part of GSoC (Google Summer of Code) 2008, and one idea they put forth for students was (paraphrased) finishing the GLES2.0 rendering system that someone had started and was part of the devel trunk. I'll check the code repo and see if I can find it. EDIT: Here's their...

    Let's Make Our Own Fps!

I'm pretty sure Ogre has (at least the beginnings of) an OpenGLES rendering backend. Working on/improving that would be a good place to start if you want a good game engine for Pandora.

    What are you developing?

I'm working on a 3D bomberman game that I'm REALLY hoping to bring to Pandora. I'm currently developing it on Windows (in a cross-platform kinda way) and making sure along the way that it works on Linux as well. I'm using Ogre for 3D, and they're currently working on a GLES 2.0 render system...

    A fresh start

Nope, it's Hellollo. Common misspelling (and a big pet peeve of mine). Also, hey everyone. Good to be here? (I thought we were trying not to split the community, or are we not supposed to talk about that?) EDIT: Found a "bug" - if you reply to a post with a quote in it, that quote doesn't...

    I'd Support OP With A Pandora T-Shirt

IMO, if we wanted to go with the same shirt idea, it would look better to have the logo (or logo + pandora text) on the front and only the words "two months (tm)" on the back (possibly in the pandora font). Simple is better.

    Rage On The Iphone

Yeah, that would be a good investment. It wouldn't be a difficult platform to bring it to, and the Pandora has the perfect controls.

    I Finally Ordered One

Dude, give it a fucking rest already. You'll get it when you get it. I've been waiting nearly 2 years SINCE I ORDERED (and even longer since I first found out about it) and despite the fact that my 400-500 "estimate" would put me within the number of Pandoras that have already been shipped to...

Should I Be Worried That I've Had No Reply?

I'm pretty sure we're not even at 15:00 UTC - there are still a LOT of us (me included) who ordered in the first hour (14:00 - 15:00 UTC) and haven't even received shipping emails yet.

    Worlds First Pandora Artwork

The first one would be much better if you spelled "Hellollo" correctly.

    The Box

For package updates, something useful (would require adding to the PXML spec though) would be an equivalent to pacman's "provides" attribute. You could have multiple packages that "provide" one package (a couple of people make their own versions of one emulator), and when you use the CLI tool...

Port Requests / Projects Under Development Thermometer

I'm looking forward to getting a game of my own running on the Pandora. (Hopefully we'll get PyOpenGL support, otherwise I'm going to have to port this to C++...)

    My Pandora Review

The difference is that Chrome's version of ABP doesn't support modifying the HTML to remove ads before images and such are downloaded, so everything gets loaded but the advertisements don't get drawn. It works, but it's not ideal. They're waiting for the Chrome devs to implement the necessary...
