Yeah, it's a flawed pun that has been going around in Oz since I was a kid, but it 'sounds funny', so it passes the 'pub test'. Now; I'm sure a doe would have genitalia? :P
Anywho, back on topic:
Two peanuts were walking down the street and one was assaulted.
What do you call a deer with no eyes?
- No idea.
What do you call a deer with no eyes and no legs?
-Still no idea,
What do you call a deer with no eyes, no legs, and no balls?
-Still no fucking idea!
The idea is to use it as an all-in-one pocket device (I don't use smartphones), so carrying a separate clip-on camera would not be an option. Running an external usb cable would also make it not worth it.
Quality wise, ~3mp would be ideal. One of my old Nokias had a 3.2mp camera and I found that...
G'day folks,
When I eventually get a Pyra I intend on fitting a camera to and have been occasionally been looking to see what's out there. I failed to find much that would suit the purpose, i.e. be small enough to retro fit into the case and not rely on propriety IP. I got the impression that...
For me the excitement is whether I win the race to raise the funds for my Pyra pre-order before ED ends Pre-orders. I'd love to be able to count myself as a pre-order supporter of the project, :)
I've been following the project for many years now. I just want to see it succeed as It's values...
Thanks mate. I tried ifuse, but it couldn't mount it either. I'll look at Pyrat's advice on the mount point though and check it again. 'libimobiledevice' this looks interesting, I'll check it out.

Thanks mate, a lot to work through there! Unfortunately my internet was down all day...
I get this in dmesg:
[21936.257424] usb 3-5: new high-speed USB device number 45 using xhci_hcd
[21936.406762] usb 3-5: New USB device found, idVendor=05ac, idProduct=1281, bcdDevice= 0.00
[21936.406766] usb 3-5: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=3, SerialNumber=4
[21936.406768] usb 3-5...
So lsusb shows this:
Bus 003 Device 034: ID 05ac:1281 Apple, Inc. Apple Mobile Device
So the OS is aware of it, it's just not letting it show as a directory I can access in the GUI.
That's for the suggestion. I've looked into that, but from what I can tell the jailbreaking process includes wiping the memory.
Thanks for that too. I've tried a few similar programs but they seem to have no ability to deal with recovery mode, and as the OS isn't detecting the device, neither...
G'day all,
No I'm not an Apple fan-boy (in fact since apple locked me out of my own iTunes account years ago I hate them with a passion), but I have a 64gb 4th gen touch that is chock full of awesome music that I would love to rescue and transfer to my Ubuntu 'puter. Problem is, these days it...
